Watched an interesting youtube podcast with Ken from PBD and Brian Wolfe the engine director for Ford Motorsports/Global Engine etc etc..
Really interesting conversation around the architecture of the Godzilla, he wasn't shy about the shortcomings of the 6.2 as well as his dislike from the...
Guys,
just throwing out a little feeler on my Brenthal Boxed Upper and Lower . I may be going TL on this truck so these will be up for grabs.
Is there interest in stock width boxed control arms? Lower arm has By-Pass mount if you elected to add the second shock.
Have no Idea what they are...
Did Christmas in Cambodia and Thailand with the fam and was blown away by how may G2 and G3 Raptors I saw there driving around and on car lots.
Saw so many, that I had to go see a dealer that had 4 on the lot for sale.
Looked online and sure as **** you could find whatever color you wanted...
Just happened to find this Ford Tech's diagnosis video and was curious if the light clatter noises that some Gen 1 folks have reported were something similar?
Can you imagine some of the engine replacements that occured because a tech didnt know this proceedure...SMH
Posted this in the upcoming events/runs section but that does not look like it gets much action these days.
Anyway, if any of you TX guys are going to the coast for spring break, I will be taking a run south to see the dunes and run in the rough stuff past the demarcation signs.
Anyone...
Will be down at the coast (Mustang Island) and was planning to take a rip down to Padre Island Nation Seashore beyond the demarcation markers.
Good opportunity to get offroad, see some dunes and let r loose.
If anyone is interested in joining me on Sat the 19th send a DM
Anyone runiing a 3.0 coilover and 3.0 bypass have any first hand knowleage on the spring rate. I was told that the 600lbs spring that comes on the coil over can get reduced a smidge when running the bypass, but want to hear from someone that may have tried it.
Thanks
Finally got around to building a bumper for the Black truck. Wanted a radius bent top tube and wanted it tucked in enought to look good, but not flush so it would actually do something if i needed to "bump" something. For the most part it would save the palstic valence or grill when mowing down...
Buddy of mine bought a set of these the other day, have not seen them in person yet. I had never heard of OBX before, but they look like a SW copy-cat made offshore.
Anyone on here ever had a set and can share any details on them?
@Big Blue .. Can you move this to the 6.2 forum... I was...
Has anyone done a new key programming in PATS with ForScan?
I only have 1 key at the moment and want to get a couple made.
Any Advice would be appreciated.
Got the dreaded Service AdvanceTrac/ Hill Decent fault the other day on the 11 SCrew.
Third Brake light functions as it is supposed too and doesnt look like there is water in it so I hooked up ForScan and pulled some codes.
P1635, P1899,B1596, B1342, C1266, C1300.... All PCM, TCCM and ABS...
It appears that I have a cracked manifold  While it is cheap to replace the stock manifold, the rediculous amount of time required to do it makes me think I should just replace with headers since I'm half way there.
This weekend I went on a hunt for Stainless Works or ARH, neither...
Wondering if anyone has contemplated swapping the new 7.3 when the ole 6.2 gets tired.
I have a feeling that getting all the Can-Bus electronics to communicate will be the biggest challenge.
Anyone familliar with a harness that will get all the modules to talk to each other?
Hey guys,
While I get the pieces together for my son's mid travel Coyote build, I was wondering what people have done to bypass the sensors in the seatbelts and front seats.
This truck will get race seats and a cage at some point, but I have not heard much in the way people have worked around...
Has anyone done the KHC top shock mount conversion to be able to take advantage of the Gen 2 travel. I really want to run the KING 3.0 IBP shock, but they only make it in Gen 2 length with no plans of offering it in the older Gen 1 configuration.
Cutting the top of the tower off allows the KHC...
Reaching out to the Spring Under crowd.
I've had good success with my spring-over +3's but will be building a 2wd SCab and have been kicking the idea around of running a spring under setup with a 3.5 x 18 bypass.
For those that have the spring under, do you recall what series it is?
Whoever...
Has anyone needed to replace the fuel pump assembly on their truck yet?
Is there an option for a higher GPH performance pump that we can drop in?
The other day I was merging onto the highway and I felt a slight hesitation at steady mid throttle. No misfire codes, no bucking or surging, just a...
Its time for me to flush and fill... Thought maybe I would venture away from the Motorcraft Orange/Water Wetter and was looking at Engine Ice.
Has anyone used that product, and if so, what are your thoughts?
I have had zero issues with my current set up, but with the triple digits approaching...
Guys, I was having a discussion in another thread, and thought I would share this here.
I have a 14 Roush with Roush exhaust (no factory resonator) and it was unbearable to drive due to drone. I added a Helmholtz Resonator (J-Pipe) back in 2015 but thought I would share how easy this is for...
Has anyone with a supercharged 6.2 tried to run a UMP or any other style semi closed air box.
I am looking for ideas to be able to run Baja and not worry about the silt and dirt that will be constantly caking up the open CAI that my Roush has.
May have to Fab a box and try not to kill air flow.
Did a search and could not find anything on a Gen 1 with blower and emissions.
I did find CA DMV info, and I know on a new vehicle (less than 7500 miles) purchased out of state you have to have the CA Emission sticker to register, but any used vehicle (over 7500 miles) just needs to pass smog...
