My Raptor has arrived at the NM dealership today. I won't be able to leave TN until mid May to go get it but my brother who lives in the area was kind enough to go and snap a picture of it for me. So a recap of the events for those interested:
7 FEB - Dealership order for my Raptor placed with...
For what it is worth I was recently in your very shoes as far as waiting for Vin but once you get it things start happening pretty fast from that point. At least in my experience and hopefully for you as well. Now for me it's just a matter if getting the time to drive from TN to NM to pick her up.
This is my soon to be replaced F150. Bought her brand new in 2001. She has done me well. Giving her to my mom cuz I didn't have the heart to sell her. How do you think the wheels would look on the Raptor? You know as kinda of a tribute. Obviously the raptor wheels would go on this one if I did...
Appreciate it and yes i definitely won't forget the experience. The whole process really helped pass the time while deployed and gave me something to look forward to and not to mention all that I'll do once I get it during my non-deployed time.
Thanks. And just so you know. I don't see it as a cliche. I see it as people showing their appreciation and reminding us of that so thank you. Hope your wait goes quickly.
Thanks guys. Appreciate it. I have been watching some utube vids on the raptor (couldn't watch vids downrange) and I'm just that much more excited about my decision to hey one. Happy Easter btw to everyone.
I'm back from Afghanistan! And to make it even better, I saw my first "in person" Raptor while at taco bell drive thru. It was on 41a in/ near Clarksville, tn. It was an orange scab with body graphics. I also managed to snap a pic from my iPhone without causing a crash or even pissing any body...
Thanks. Here's the breakdown...hope it helps.

In my Xspray research, I learned that prep is the key. So I'm gunna find a shop that has a neat and well kept (professional) appearance and that sand blasts as a prep RATHER than the chemical prep which I am told is not the best way. Sand blast prep with a hot xspray application should result in...
Baldwin, Your'e welcome and thanks for saying something...we appreciate that. I have alot of mod aspirations but have decided to use my extra money to buy a WaterCraft first. So Mods will wait but I will get the front windows tinted in NM (darker allowable laws) before I head to TN. I will also...
Well Gentlemen (and Ladies), My Raptor was completed today. :peace: Can't wait to get home and start tearing up the roads/trails. Should be delivered to my hometown dealership around 3 MAYish. I'll post pics as soon as I can get them taken.
I bet that if you convinced them that youre worried it may break while still open and possibly damage the interior or make you vulnerable to theft (more so for your INS Co)they would fix it.
CONGRATS! I myself am in the Final stages of being a Raptor owner as well. I bet the wait was worth it for you. Although I technically am already an owner...I have a first payment date on my loan even though the Raptor is still being built as we speak. Ironically I used my savings to pay off one...
Well I will let you all know once I get back in town. I'm hoping there aren't too many. I left town in APR of 2010 and never saw one, but alot can happen in a year.
Well yes..but technically (what they don't tell you) is that they are all the same virgins. they were never replaced with new ones afetr the first guy.
I'm F'n stoked! I leave this Sh!thole in the near future AND I just got my Sticker for my Raptor (Being built on Monday!). So here's my breakdown of dates for those interested.
