My buddy is considering selling his 2022 Shelby Raptor in Orange, only has 5k miles. Just wondering if there is anyone interested . Just helping another fellow Raptor owner.
I got this one with 41k miles and has been driving smooth up until this issue with the 8th gear which is my real concern, the leak I’m sure won’t be as costly as the repair it might need. I’m not sure if maybe i just need to reset the adaptive transmission, on sport mode it seems to do it less...
Unfortunately I don’t think they opened it up, they only flushed it bc I was advised that was better than actually dropping the pan and changing filter/oil. ♂️
Took it to dealer and mentioned the issue that perhaps they might’ve overfilled it but service advisor replied saying they do hundred of these every week and it’s by machine or computer so it couldn’t be possible etc. Still didn’t take her in to diagnose that 7 to 8th gear situation (rpm’s go up...
Hi rob may I ask who you sold it too? I might be selling mine too? Considering your area code phone number we may be in the same county. I’m in orange county
Yea that’s the position I’m in, I love the truck enough to have her for the long haul but if she’s going to start acting up then maybe it’s time to part ways especially since I’m out of warranty
I’m going to mention that it started leaking after the flush was done. See what they say after that. I’m feeling like they’re going to say they have reseal it. So maybe not worth getting the ESP since it runs fine aside from that. No lights or codes either.
Yea I’m taking it Monday so they can actually see what the issue is. It also looks like it may be leaking due to a seal/gasket. So idk if it’s venting fluid and creating blow back or it’s actually just the minor leak from seal blowing back. I guess I won’t know till Monday. The 8th gear shifting...
Side note, I wanted them to diagnose it but the service manager advised to hold off in case the truck came back with serious issues it wouldn’t void my opportunity to get premium care.
I did tell them about the tranny and the leak and that’s what the manager suggested being that I was out of warranty. He cleared my pre inspection so I’m good to go. I guess what im asking if is i should buy the warranty knowing I will trade in truck in about a year or two. Or just skip out on...
Hi guys so I have a 19 screw Raptor with 69k miles (expired warranty) and have been having an oil leak and transmission that likes to act funny shifting onto 8th gear (only on normal mode, sport seems to be fine). Took it last week to get checked out and service manager advised on buying the...
So took it to the dealer and service manager suggested I think about buying Ford Premium Care extended warranty to cover for repairs that may need to be done on the transmission. I’m at 69k miles so my factory warranty expired.
I actually have, about 3 weeks ago I did a transmission oil FLUSH not change. And funny how before that I wouldn’t have any issues
thing is in from Orange County, CA and currently in Zion, Utah. I should be okay driving back if I’m light on the pedal correct? Just keep it under temperature
Had a similar issue and noticed that my transmission would jerk back from 8-10 and had the exact same symptoms. Only would happen on long trips as well when I was 3-4 hours in. Resulted the poor shifting was due to my transmission overheating up to 240 and I would get some fluid venting too...
Mine sounds like it’s coming under engine by headers area. Maybe turbos but I don’t have any turbo loss or lag. Inspected the truck twice at dealers and suggested maybe loose heat shield, so they took it to muffler shop and came back clean. Still here the noise but they said mechanically nothing...
Did this ever get resolved? I believe I’m having the same issue as well. I can replicate the noise if I have one foot on the brake and another on the gas at around 1-2k RPM’s while on Drive and doesn’t matter if it’s 2wd or 4wd.
