How to increase towing capacity?
I'm getting an 8500 lb avion trailer as a hand me down from my grandfather (Similar to airstreams). I plan on gutting and remodeling it and will hopefully be able to put it on a diet. But if I wanted to increase my towing capacity what should I be looking at...
Looking to get 4 lights for my roof mounted cargo basket, two on one side, two on the back. Likely the dually's based on budget. Purpose would be for lighting up a campsite. Not sure if the floods or diffussed lenses are the way to go. Any photos or experience from guys here on having these...
After waiting for 4 months I went to dealer to pick up my new truck today. Dropped off some studded duratracs to have mounted. Got a call an hour later from the service manager. When they had it on the lift they noticed coolant leaking from it. After inspection they found that the radiator...
I got lucky. Discount Tire had special ordered a set for a customer but he never picked them up. So I got the last set today that they had in Utah, not sure what else is out there. Got them studded and ready for winter!
Called 4 wheel parts, tire rack, and local place, 4 wheel parts said they contacted goodyear andthey are on a national backorder. Anyone know where I can get some?
For those asking, the leer 100xq's which I think both of those guys are rocking, comes painted from the factory using a base/clear coat just like the factory paint on the car instead of the gel coats that they used to come with. I'll be getting a tuxedo black one as soon as my 13 arrives.
Spoke to my buddy at work and he is rockin the duratracs with studs and he highly recommended them. He also said that he was surprised how little they wore down and he thinks they will last 3-4 seasons
The studded duratracs do sound like a good option. I think a guy I work with might have these on his jeep in the winter. The Nokian tires that someone posted are my winter tires of choice, they just don't sell anything bigger than the 265/70/17. I have gone through two sets of studded...
skinnier tires cut through the snow better vs wide tires that sit on top of snow. I live at 7k elevation and work at a ski resort that is at 8300 ft. I usually run studded tires 6 months out of the year.
Thinking about downsizing the tires in the winter, would run the same size that came stock on my f350, 265/70/17. Anyone else try something similar and have photos?
are those scanned confirmations something that the dealer generates or ford motor co? I purchased 1 month ago and only have the dealer purchase contract. Should I have one of those confirmations by now?
I would use the clean sweep if I were installing aftermarket speakers/amp, but it seems like the MS-8 is intended to get the max quality out of stock systems. Is anyone using the clean sweep their stock system?
So I ordered from a dealer and got a copy of the typical vehicle purchase contract. What should I be asking for next and how often?
For example, should I call the dealer once a week and inquire about a receipt of order from ford so I know that it actually got ordered? How often should I try...
Anyone know where to find the weight of the new wheel vs. the weight of the standard one? Wondering how much the forging process cut down vs. the cast wheels.
