My brother has TRX. Awesome truck. His is gray. Beautiful and you don't have to have TRX graphics over the rear wheels. He loves it. Waited months for Raptor R announcement. Told dealer to FO when then told him $40K over sticker.
My brother said "screw that" after being told $40K over sticker for Raptor R and got TRX. Loves it. Traded Shelby p/u for TRX. He says, "TRX is way more truck than Shelby or Raptor."
I told Dodge dealer to put my name on the list for first-day order for 2023-2024 Dodge Demon. Won't be any more.
I think I would buy a used Lightning if I could find one for a reasonable price. I saw that Ford jacked up the MSRP of the Lightning for 2023.
In Texas, the guy you sell it to would have to pay sales tax on whatever the tax assessor's system says the value of the vehicle is. So, he would be reimbursing you for the sales tax you paid and then paying sales tax himself. That's the way it is in Texas unless you are a dealer.
Can Raptor R be resold immediately or is Ford restricting resale? I don't see how I could make money reselling the vehicle if I pay $40K over sticker plus taxes and fees? Sell order position if dealer allows?
Today, I was out running errands. An older couple rolled up in a brand new Escalade. It was black. I told them, "Nice ride." The man said, "Traded in 2017 Escalade for this on...2022. $40K over sticker." I guess Escalade-V is going to go for $200K.
