Not sure if the OEM hinge pin is plastic in the Jen Too, but it was in the Jen Juan. I ordered that (or a similar) aluminum hinge pin about a week after I purchased it a year ago and it hasn't come loose since. Hoping that fixes your issue.
Went out for a routine car wash to get all the crap off that they use on these Minnesota roads in the winter. Hit a fun milestone. Here’s to another 88,888.8+!
Yeah, most of the warranties mentioned regularly here aren't available on a '12 with 83k miles, so I went with the dealer "preferred" one. I know it's not ideal, but I've had to use it twice since June, and it has covered what was needed (front IWEs and transmission wiring harness).
Very appreciative of this thread. I had used my 4H and 4L earlier this year in my Jen Juan, so I figured I was good until the Minnesota winter, which could come as early as Halloween (insert "remember the '91 Halloween blizzard?" story). After reading, I figured I'd check just to be safe. Sure...

15K601 and 15K602 should be all you need now (besides cutting the new key and programming your system), The capped wires green and purple wires are (I believe) for the upfitter switches. I found this YouTube video helpful for finding where the antenna plug goes:
Rocky Mountain Graphics has the Jen Too bedside graphics. Can’t speak to how they’d fit though.

Any point in trying rust reformer/converter on the inside (and possibly the outside)? or just bite the bullet and go get some estimates from body shops?
For those who have experienced Gen Juan cab corner rust, can you let me know if this looks like a surface issue or if it’s coming from the inside? I haven’t gotten under the truck for a deeper look yet, but I’d like some external input.
For anybody who made their turn signals into DRLs, did you also somehow hook your fogs up to be DRLs? I’m guessing tapping into the turn signals would also turn the fogs into turn signals?
