Side question, I didn't realize this one doesn't have the tailgate step (I assumed it was standard). What's the best way to go about adding that option? Buying an Avalanche w/applique tailgate isn't gonna be easy to find.
Thank you. These trucks can be tricky for several abuse reasons but mostly the service history. If I'm buying another used one I want the Cam Phasers already repaired.
I just had all that work done. It was close to $4k including fixing the roof. Having said that my good friend owns our local Ford dealer and cuts my a deal on labor so IF i ended up having to do it again yeah it was month and some cash to fix the known wrongs of the '17. If only I didn't love...
Been there done the CTS-V, M5's...but I don't wanna be that guy towing his bass boat with a sedan. lol And as far as trucks go this was my first truck and I'll never not have one now. And its gotta be a Raptor to satisfy my speed and power desire while hauling my fishing gear.
This is why I asked. I looked 9 months for that Avalanche and I want another one. But my budget is a little bigger now and I’m wanting to avoid some of the ‘17 pitfalls of the 19-20 is better option.
My local dealer has a ‘20 with 25k miles I’m looking at. If I don’t have to do phasers cover and oil pain service again that will save me $4k. Oh and the sunroof broke. Lol
Unfortunately my 2017 Avalanche lost a battle with a tanker truck 2 weeks ago. Insurance is replacing it so I’m on the hunt again. I’ve got more wiggle room for a Gen II … would you buy another ‘17 or go with another year? During my research over a year ago I read ‘17s had lower HP numbers due...
Bringing this back from the dead because it sounds like the closest to what I have going on. I have a high pitch metallic sounds under 75-100% throttle or boost. Seems like its coming from the drivers side turbo area. There's zero other issues with performance or transmission. Is my turbo...
I called 13 dealers looking for one. Several dealers had one but they wouldn't sell unless it was a vehicle in their garage knowing the back order issue.
Its a two piece plastic housing on the '17-20 ecoBoost F150's. I believe the gasket is apart of one of the housings. Besides that I had a leaking timing cover and oil pan...I had them do the cam phasers while it was apart. Said the water pump was fine. Finally got my truck back today!!
Here's...
They're on national back order. Best I found out is there's around 2000 ordered and the production date is end of February. I've called 13 different Ford dealers who would give me "showing one" at the this dealer or that one. I finally found one Friday and bought it myself and had it shipped to...
Anyone have a source for one? My Raptor has been sitting at the dealer for a month now waiting on a new T-stat housing. Everywhere I've looked is not available.
I'm aware but I doubt the Avalanche will show much. I would like to replace whats on there with something smaller or without the larger black background that's on the OEM vinyl.
Never thought of that. Would've been a rookie mistake. lol I was also thinking of something ecoBoost as this is my third ecoB Ford. MY wife drives a tuned Flex and its pretty amazing.
Just picked an Avalanche Raptor with the OEM decal package. The bedsides decals are a bit too much for me but I don't like the plain look either some I'm looking for any ideas. Maybe small, SVT, Ford Racing, Ford Oval, different Raptor, ... I'm thinking of going with something in Ford blue and...
I use those J cradles on my Expedition. I'm picking up a '17 Raptor this week and need a solution to mount a couple yaks. What's the cheapest rack system? I've seen them range from $500-$2k. I don't need bells and whistles.
