I’m only guessing it was a software update since I did nothing to change it and have not ventured into ForScan. I looked for sensitivity distance alterations to activate it sooner but couldn’t find one. Some front camera is better than none in my opinion.

And if you do a forscan thread search there are plenty of people who tinkered with the codes to have the front camera activate.

I have a 23 and only remember the overhead cameras activating and a green/yellow/red indicator in the first window panel. Always used to turn front camera on manually. Now the first window is the front camera and second window is 360. Me like.

Followed the advice of disconnecting the battery cable for 30-45 minutes and I’m back in business. Ford Pass App fired right up and was able to remote start. Lost NO settings. Get the front clip xpel wrapped. Pricey but worth it. I was gonna do WT mats but I think the stock mats are equitable. WT has an under back seat storage compartment but I just put stuff under the seats. Go enjoy and then add after some time.

XPEL wrap around the front and ready for Whole Foods!!!!!

Went for the Xpel wrap on the front clip. Left the sides and cab as is. Very happy with the result. No distortion in the color and can’t tell the difference from wrapped vs. not wrapped.

Looks good. Getting a full front xpel wrap tomorrow to keep the AMB as pristine as possible. Still going B/F between a bed cover or chase bar with lights. Don’t need either really, but when does need and common sense factor into these toys?

Can you get to the TCU with minimal effort? Is it behind the rear passenger seat back? I don't think they fold forward unless I am missing something. At least I can still remote start with key fab.
