Apples to oranges but you'll miss the bottomless power of the 6.7L and you'll marvel in the comfort and capability of the Raptor.
Glad I did it, but I don't need to tow anything over 4k anymore.
I'm a week or so into the process and thought I'd drop my experience so far:
I'll say this--For all of you who have limited tuning understanding, this couldn't be a better experience.
I've installed eco tunes on super duties before but was a bit intimidated and worried about my Raptor...
Mall crawlin, go with the D. If you're actually driving off-road or towing, I'd go E. I run E on my Raptor and Land Cruiser 200. Much rather be safe than sorry in that department.
You probably already know this but always give suspension mods some time before you reach a verdict. Often times things need to settle and/or break in, most often leading to some softening.
I'm just here to share that my 21 "COVID cursed truck", now with ~30k on it and pretty regular off-road use, has had exactly zero issues.
We had an absurd winter here with tons of wet snow and then mud...not a single problem. This truck rules.
Carry on.
We used to call this a "remote trigger" in my past life. I guess I'm living rent free in your head, as they say.
My data came from the census which fairly accurately reflects pre-covid macro and some microeconomic trends and indexes at a state level. And most economists consider UI a form of...
Case in point. I can't imagine why folks aren't embracing you recent transplants with arms wide open! "I've got money so you MUST be happy to have me and if you're not, you're just jealous!" I can't think of a more Californian thing to say. Oh man...what a way to go through life.
I'll say...
Ok....somebody has to let you in on some common knowledge for folks who have been living in Idaho longer than four years:
We've been battling it out with the likes of Mississippi and New Mexico for the title of poorest state in the union since the bottom fell out of the timber industry in the...
The triggering in this thread is unprecedented.
Dudes who drive $80k trucks that get 13mpg calling out "rich people.". If you weren't rich by most people's standards, you wouldn't be driving a Gen 3 Raptor. I'm "rich" and I, for one, am not ashamed.
Gold, Jerry! Carry on.
Sport should be stiffer, Baja softer. I roll sport on mountain passes (curvy) and Baja on ****** BLM roads. In my truck, both are noticable improvement over normal for their respective environments.
I definitely use the suspension setting the most. Aside from tow/haul, I rarely use the...
Had my Cobb front mount IC installed last week and used the truck to tow a ~3k pound trailer over the pass this past weekend, which I've done several times before. I always run 91 Octane. Outside temp was around 25F and I almost always run my exhaust on quiet, though I doubt that has anything...
Any reason I can't install the Cobb intercooler, wait a week, then do the ECU portion? In other words, the Cobb IC won't cause problems by itself, correct? I can't see how it would but I thought I'd ask, as it's being installed Tuesday.
Towed a 3k lbs flatbed trailer with around 600lbs in sleds on it. Previously this was enough to push the hitch down and nose up.
I'm happy to report that while it still had some effect, it's not nearly as bad as the stock springs were. So that's nice.
Got mine installed, removing the collars and stock springs. Now my truck still has some rake with the same regular load of 200lbs of dogs and kennels, gear, etc. plus the Leer camper shell.
The ride is great....I really like it. Perhaps their sweet spot for ride quality is with a constant...
I spoke to airlift today. Sounds like they're looking for a truck to test fit the product which means between that and production, I'd have to guess we're a ways out.
But...glad someone is making these for our rigs.
