    Raptor R Crate Engine

Maybe if you just burned up your 6.2 after doing every other mod.... and you found a fat stack of cash in your couch?

That's good life advice right there.

Rear diff leak - warped axle housing end causing seal to leak

Any previous repair records available? Any previous collisions? The only scenario I can think of that would result in that damage is some kind of janky roadside repair using the wrong tools to pry off an old seal.

2019 hit on right front, $29K repair bill...insurance woes...USAA sucks!

Auto Insurance companies are seeing much higher rates of fraud, higher labor rates, higher parts costs, service backlogs, scarce parts availability, plus many owners are upside down or late on payments. Many of them just walk away after a claim, because if they don't have rental coverage, (and...

    IWE Vacuum Hose Replacement

I'm pretty sure the oem tubing is made of softer, more flexible rubber/silicone material due to it's ability to cycle continuously. Plastic tubing used for that application won't likely survive the twisting and flexing as long.

    B&M transmission dipstick

It isn't. Unless you have access to something like the Mityvac pump & plastic tubing to force fluid down the dipstick.

    Avoiding theft

This little guy was apparently thrown from a van onto the dirt road one Sunday afternoon last year. He wasn't "injured" from that, but was clearly very sick, wouldn't take food or water, and died within the hour after the neighbors found him; the best we could do was bring him out of the sun and...

    Avoiding theft

The same reason I'm completing a surveillance system with a PTZ camera on all 4 corners of a 2 acre parcel... so hopefully the shi tbags that steal things & abandon pets out here will go elsewhere.

    Avoiding theft

My first Ravelco install was 2004-ish. I believe it was about $300 then. 20 years (and 2 Broncos, 1 Tacoma, 1Tundra, 1 Chevy 3500, 1 ecoboost f150 & 1 Gen 1 Raptor) later, I still think it's worth it, even with the price increase.

    Catalytic Converter protection - 2024 802a

^^ In 2024, this is the unfortunate truth; it's technically  easier to take the entire truck, while at the same time the (lack of) punishment for stealing $2500 cats or a $90K truck is similar.

Gen 1 Raptor Options - Pls help

At one time I had a Porsche 944 and since my contact lens Dr had one as well, we used to swap stories whenever I had my annual eye exam. Then, one time he didn't mention his Porsche, until I asked....... and he said that late one night the streetsweeper fell asleep and pushed his 944 into a...

Gen 1 Raptor Options - Pls help

So by routine maintenance you mean all 16 spark plugs, plus coils, plug wires, hoses & belts, engine oil & filter, trans fluid & filter, recharging the refrigerant, cleaning or at least pressure testing the injectors, rebuilding or replacing the Fox 2.5's, plus brake pads & rotors, brake fluid...

    Transmission issues

"Turns out the transmission had been out of my truck before. Whoever reinstalled it decided to leave the top two bell housing bolts out, and broke another bolt and elected to simply thread it lightly (only 2-3 threads left on the bolt) rather than replacing it." Those fu ckers are definitely...

    Transmission issues

A Gen 1 Raptor is well over 3 tons with everything and everyone in it. I'd prefer to not buy a lot of top-end mods knowing I'll never get that money back, but any mods I'm doing are focused on how those 3 tons handle offroad and improving stopping distance, not how fast it can go.

Buying a used 2017-2020 “Jen Too” Raptor ; Some things to look for

If this truck has the Deberti body and professional paint, at least there's an option to sell those ridiculous tires, wheels, & shocks. I'd keep the new brakes if they fit under 17's, check the service history (oem rebuilt trans?), go down to 37's, and obviously remove all the "Look At Me"...

    Something ain't right...

I'm guessing the Gen 1 Raptor uses the same gauge & sending unit as all the other 2014 ford vehicles. Since this isn't a well known issue, across a million vehicles..... start looking at wire connections for a loose, rusty, or damaged ground wire. It's cheap & easy to do, and you might find...
