What did u do to your raptor today?

The pin in the fuel door failed again. You don’t want a floppy fuel door. I put a screw in the end of the pin this time.

Gen 1 Transmission Took A Dump

I saved this thread for future reference. A used 5.0 take out is an option for some people. https://www.fordraptorforum.com/threads/transmission-compatibility.90504/

    One Piece Solid Rear Window??

I prefer a sliding rear window on a Supercab. You can open it a bit with a little bit of drivers door window for a nice breeze. Same move on a Supercrew and it drones or is gale force winds. Mans best friend prefers the rear slider too.

    Shock rebuild in Wa state?

We made it happen ! Second date went as well as the first. @Jhollowell had everything set up ready to go with regards to tools and jacks/stands. I followed his lead and was wrenching while he was rebuilding. We knocked it out and the truck drives Fantastic ! . Bit embarrassing to report that...

What color should I paint my truck?

The public likes Molten Orange. I am amazed how many people look at this old 2010 truck. I keep it clean and it’s in very good condition yet. The Tri color Orange is beautiful especially in the sun when you can see the Gold Metallic. I was very hesitant to buy a truck with such a loud color but...

To those considering a first generation raptor

I put 108K on a new Tri White Metallic 2010 Lariat Supercrew with the 5.4. It was a great trouble free truck and the low rpm torque was enough for my single car haulers. The mileage empty around town was pretty bad like 12-13 and towing average around 11. Now empty on the freeway on a long run...

    Shock rebuild in Wa state?

I installed the shocks yesterday. Started the day watching the Raptor Baja video and then headed out for a test. The truck had 73K miles when I got it last year and the suspension was still untouched. Needless to say it is a major improvement and is just Awesome !! Sometimes you just don’t know...

To those considering a first generation raptor

I have never got under 13 mpg and it’s typically 14-15 which surprised me after reading the countless threads on the Gen 1. Rarely does the truck go over 65 mph and I avoid freeways so if you aren’t in a lot of stop and go and keep the RPM under 2K these trucks idle up the grades effortlessly...

    Shock rebuild in Wa state?

I drove down to Everett Wa to have @Jhollowell rebuild my rear shocks just as he offered in response to this thread inquiry. Jeff is a detail guy and seems to have a great working system to rebuild and charge our Fox shocks. Having a rebuilder in the PNW is going to be helpful for a lot of...

    Shock rebuild in Wa state?

No sign of leaks but either low or out of Nitrogen at 80K miles. Back end is bouncing like a buggy but still smilin. I am happy about rebuilding the shocks that are original to the truck. As a restorer little stuff like that makes it cool for me.

    Was There a Time When…

I am a celebrity with the mountain bike crew. Everyone loves this truck and has to ask questions wherever I park to ride. No one knows what year it is and are blown away when I tell them. Only people dialed in like you young guys can tell one from another. They are going to be iconic forever.

Gen1 Tire & Wheel Picture Thread (upgraded) - post em up!

Finally got my Bronze rims installed. I’m going for a 2010 nostalgic look not a newer upgrade look if that makes sense ha They appear larger and I am happy with the look which was a relief. Thanks to Justin with Pacific Wheel for the confidence on fit.

I had the Black Rhino 17x9.5 +12 wheels installed on the factory size K02 tires yesterday. The math is an additional inch inboard and a 1 mm poke. I am on lower perch and stock suspension. I like it better since the factory rims had the polished lips that went with nothing else on the truck...
