    Subtle Clunking

Yes, after much research, they said it was in the sunroof. I said "bulls**t", it sounds like from the bed or below, etc. Sure enough, they said it was the "rail" in the sunroof and when I got it back, noise gone! However, I have begun hearing it again, taking it back in Monday to see if...

Clunking sound on Gen 3 too

Smelling a little BS there... if not driven. I am going Thursday to ride with the chassis guy and the service manager (for the 3rd time), but the bulletin should help.

    Installed 37's on Gen3 35 Raptor - no issues.

Discount Tire here in Texas had no issues.... but here 37" is just normal... 'cause everything is bigger in Texas... @Jack-O

You are a ROCK STAR!! Thanks for the info, just sent it over to the Service Manager and Service Tech for my truck. Waiting on a response....

Clunking sound on Gen 3 too

Mine is definitely coming from the rear, also. It feels and sounds like a loose golf ball that only bounces on bumps or even a quick turn. Was at the dealer for a month while they talked back and forth.... got to put a bunch of miles on the loaner. Going back tomorrow to get the SYNC/Nav update...

GooseTuned Gen 3 - Baseline Dyno Runs vs Gen 2 Baseline!

So I was thinking the "word salads" that Kamala typically uses pairs nicely with the "word soup garbage" from above. Thought the similarity was obvious.... sorry for being obtuse. Nothing to do with politics. My bad trying to be humorous.... and I won't quit my day job (at least until the end of...

When you go, check on a service bulletin to update the Navigation (maybe SYNC itself?). Came out about two weeks ago.

    Steering wheel phone controls

Here is the 2021 Raptor steering wheel, where the buttons could work as in the prior picture..... Anyone have any good ideas about using these buttons similar to how they are used on every other Ford with steering controls?

    Steering wheel phone controls

Here is a picture of the "double up" part of the controls, which could easily be done on the Raptor as well.... don't need the pictures, would be great if it could be programmed so that it works using the "Selecting a Radio Station" buttons.

    Steering wheel phone controls

I have had my Raptor in the shop a couple of times since I got it mid-January. All the low-end loaners they give me have a phone button on the steering wheel. Often it uses the "Selecting a Radio Station" buttons as "double duty" since there is no point of using that for radio when in the midst...

Clunking sound on Gen 3 too

Mine was pretty obvious and loud. It is currently at dealer to be looked at. Sounded to me to be right rear wheel area. Much more distinctive than the recording. Literally sound like a golfball loose in the bed that would normally stay put, but on bumps bounces around. Try dropping a golf ball...

Clunking sound on Gen 3 too

Believe what you want, but when enough of the rest of us get Ford to provide a fix, I assume you will decide to pass on the fix. Either that, or try to be part of the solution and help by getting the service department to acknowledge the issue. You seem like a smart guy, I am pretty sure you can...

Clunking sound on Gen 3 too

Not sure what you are hearing, but it definitely does not sound like a "loose exhaust sound" on mine. Sounds like I have a loose golf ball in the bed that generally stays put except over bumpy roads, when it then sounds like Plinko. THAT is not normal.... maybe try a different dealership service...

Clunking sound on Gen 3 too

Get it by the dealer's service department so they can identify it, and log it. That will help to accelerate getting a fix.

Clunking sound on Gen 3 too

We need to get them all to a dealer for diagnosis, rather than just "waiting" for a fix. Just because I "know" what the problem is does not excuse me or anyone else from trying to register with Ford there is a problem. The more that show up, and all have the same problem, the sooner we all get...

Clunking sound on Gen 3 too

I have 9,000 miles on mine, hear it all the time when going over bumpy roads or when braking hard, or when stopping after braking hard. I will have it in the shop in 2 weeks for more diagnostics. And... traffic doesn't show up on my Navigation system, should it when I select "show traffic"? It...

GooseTuned Gen 3 - Baseline Dyno Runs vs Gen 2 Baseline!

@GooseTuned This is probably a pretty rudimentary question, but does the engine actually run any different when there is a change in the exhaust? For example, when the exhaust is set to Baja and it is wide open, is that any different than the other extreme of Quiet? More HP, Torque, etc? Or is...

Sorry, I don't accept that as an answer. If some don't, there is a reason, and we should all be able to get to the same spot.

Clunking sound on Gen 3 too

Seems rather extreme for one noisy part. If it can be fixed, and they seem to be moving that direction, I would be willing to wait a "month'ish" for the fix (as described earlier).

Clunking sound on Gen 3 too

I has been in the 80's and 90's, and it is VERY noticeable... I fear that is just wishful thinking

Clunking sound on Gen 3 too

of course, if it was normal, ALL the shocks/mounts/etc would make the noise, not just one. I am convinced only the passenger rear is making the noise.

Clunking sound on Gen 3 too

@jpl291 @FordTechOne I sent an email to my service tech I am trying to set an appointment with, asked if he could submit it before I brought it in. He said no, they had to "to have a technician verify the noise before we can contact Hotline". Since it seems it will be days before they can work...
