I remember trying to use the stock ones too, I couldn’t get past 18ftlbs without the bolts stripping because of the length of them….. sounds like i don’t need to be handling tools lol.
How in the hell did you managed to use the POS bolts that come with the diff cover? And still use a lube locker gasket? The bolts supplied are garbage and too short that most have come across, myself included. I had to get some longer grade 8 bolts
I would sand away with the rust with lightest grit posible, lay a couple coats of paint, let it dry then lay down a nice thick heavy bead of body seam caulk /sealant, right along the middle of the seam. it’s paintable. That way the rubber seal on the cab doesn’t wear through the paint again...
Pretty sure the only difference between the +2 vs. +3 deavers is the amount of arch. I believe they both have the same amount of leaves. Most on here get the +3 or +4 so I can only speak to those hitting the exhaust for sure. It is a known issue.
I have the JBA lightning style side exit...
Yeah as mentioned, I would opt to have a frame restoration shop bend back the damaged area to ask close within spec as possible. THEN, weld in the KHC support kit. This will A: allow you to get your alignment back as close as possible. B: prevent/make this area almost bullet proof for future...
“Vash” is right, if you’re not doing heavy/frequent off-road, just get the RPG pucks to extend the stock rubber bump stop isolators downward and even some upgraded timbren rubber bump stops.
I’m STILL gonna die on the “ICON center braces removal hill” lol.
you would risk ripping the exhaust off if you dented in the exhaust where it interferes or let it self clearance itself. The deavers are just so much bigger and substantial than the stock leafs. I opted for a lightning style exhaust myself.
You may be able to piece your current corsa kit To...
Well that’s a bummer to hear…. I assumed they were an off the shelf light, other wise ford could have designed their own in house. But I guess they wanted the rigid name to go with the lights
Definitely the first that I’ve heard of this. Either way, I personally don’t think it would be the end of the world if you opted to NOT run those middle support braces. It’s already the strongest kit out there since it’s a full clam shell around the entire frame. And like you said, they’re the...
Yeah definitely not uncommon once lifted. BUT, I would like to play devils advocate for a sec. I’ve seen just as many stock ( all gens) with torn cv boots with little miles on the axles. Those look like only 1” collars. Not trying to start an argument here. I’m just ASSUMING here, but one with...
I would definitely remove the collars prior to taking it in. Looks like it’s been bleeding for a while. Been seeing alot of gen3’s with this issue. FYI, the Jen juan camp is pretty nice.
I thought the code was also printed on the barcode thats on the fuse box in the removeble side panel on passenger side. Should be a 5 digit code on there
Yeah it’s known that the exhaust doesn’t clear deavers. Cut it, and dump it , you will be fine. Besides, the CO2 is already being filtered from the cats. It gave me an execute to get the JBA side exit exhaust setup when i put my deavers on.
Just ever so slightly, not much at all. I don’t think think I would have even noticed if I hadn’t marked the height of them on my garage door before lifting.
