I had the exhaust rattle noise fixed previously so it’s not that. The mechanic I talked to thinks it’s an actuator rod of some sort (I’m not mechanically savvy so if that’s not a thing, I could have miss heard). He stated it’s fairly common in vehicles with turbo? Best way I can describe the...
I have a 2021 Gen 3 with 18,000 miles on it. For the past 2 months each time I start up my truck and the RPMs drop from 1200 to initial idle at 900, there is a noise I can best describe as “springs”. The dealer in town told me it’s from the actuator and is common? I’m not 100% sure it’s common...
Good news: Truck is at the dealership, inspection completed, has tonneau cover attached, and looks amazing
To be expected Bad News: recall needs to be fixed and dealership is still waiting on the part. At the earliest it will be in tomorrow
worse news: there is another blizzard of 8-10 inches...
I was updated shortly after my post that it was checked in most recently in Dilworth MN so it's moving! That means it drove past my dealership from Duluth to Dilworth (which makes no sense why it wouldn't drop off) but not much of this process has made sense so I'll just keep my hopes for this...
KevoUsmc TO PREVENT MORE FRUSTRATION, DO NOT READ THE REST OF THIS MESSAGE
Expected delivery this week as the dealership said it was at it's last checkpoint in Duluth MN last week and now the Ford Tracking Site won't populate.. fingers crossed this is a good thing somehow! Hope to have it...
Agreed! Mine is expected at the dealership early next week as long as there is no weather delays with delivery so these photos are the next best thing. I have new wheels sitting in my entry way waiting to get put on and it's killing me.
Dealer called this afternoon stating it’s officially made it to Duluth MN and on average that means 1 week from delivery! It’s getting closer and closer yet feels far away. Hopefully others can get some good news as well!
Fingers crossed the blizzards coming through don’t delay!
It showed built for 2 days then switched to shipped. Dealer matched the dates and said it switched to “built” on the day it was picked up for shipment and once it had tracking info for them, it switched to “shipped”
Update from my dealer: truck was passing through Blue Island IL on 12/22 with the end destination of Park Rapids MN! ETA is 1/15 so it looks like I might be getting it earlier than expected!
Reading more into it and sounds like some dealers have material needed to fix and others might not. Regardless, it stops sales of all XLT and higher I guess? If that’s true, the fix will take a lot less time than some are thinking. That’s a massive portion of income.
Regardless, timing of it...
Updated the tracker today... it now shows built 12/15!! now to look through these chats and find out how long after built people are seeing their vehicle show up...
I joined the FP chat wave and found out some information that I didn't know but found helpful. Assuming there are others that didn't know as well (except for Kevo whom we are ALL pulling for and I'm sure has looked into everything possible)
In regards to my ETA being 1/3/22

What I've learned during this process of buying a new truck from Ford..
Ford Performance: Overall unreliable
Ford Tracker: Hardly works, not reliable
Dealership: Can only tell you what the zone rep sees
Zone Rep: see Ford Tracker and Ford Performance

So they didn't actually say anything about mid 22... Frustration is to be expected but let's not start spreading incorrect statements. There is another thread showing trucks being moved off the Dearborn lot so I'd hope they are getting back on track and fulfilling those older orders.
I worked as a Personal Loan Officer for 5 years and saw this happen more times than not. They will want you to stay with their financing for 3 months and will sometimes state there is a "penalty for paying off before that". I not once in 5 years and thousands of auto loans saw a penalty when...
Member @Yost posted this in the 10/11 Squad thread and it worked for me:
"I run into the same problem all the time. Sometimes clearing your cache and cookies does the trick, but I find the most reliable way to get the data is to hit the API itself. Use this URL substituting your order number and...
