GEN 2 Whipple Stage 1 Kit Feedback Thread!

Sorry, misread that but I wasn't trying to be pissy, just saying we are working on a solution to make all satisfied/happy and in the meantime, we have options so nobody is truly stuck or in a bad place.

GEN 2 Whipple Stage 1 Kit Feedback Thread!

I think I covered this in my previous message. Customers that have a valid technical issue have gotten stock files to help diagnose running conditions, etc. For one's that just want a stock file, I stated that we're working on a solution which is tied to our new website/server being active and a...

GEN 2 Undetectable tune for raptor when flashed to stock

Mileage is accumulated in multiple modules, replacing PCM would create a mileage mismatch. Ford has thought about all this. Even piggy back boxes will leave a trace, during a failure, it takes a snap shot of all the critical readings. The readings will have a discrepancy. Whether or not...

Its been brought to my attention that a few are upset over the stock calibrations. This is something we've been working on, not sure we deserve to be raked over the coals in the meantime. The Tomahawk tool was first launched on the Ecoboost platform and we've been constantly improving in all...

So I see you have a 1 horsepower vehicle right in the middle! Your stable is insane, that Mclaren.... Just wish we made product for it so I could "test" a few of them

We didn't just change the TCM, we changed other modules as well, the TCM was just the last piece to the puzzle. But no, I can't share that as its not in the calibration side (the part aftermarket can change).

The reason for the code is that it was in the TCM, which we weren't checking/erasing. The latest version of firmware gives the tool the ability now to read and erase codes from the trans. Also, the latest version should resolve any issue with wheel/axle size. ---------- Post added at 10:02...

We have the updates available, along with the tire/axle change fix so just send an email with your vin and we can send you a new bin and app file, you’ll be good to go :) If we make updates later, you can always update again. We don’t limit the updates. And yes when you have that baby...

The biggest torque gain peaks around 2600rpm if you do a pull from 1200rpm to redline, that's where that massive peak torque change is. Todd's stock made a bit more torque, but they also vary greatly down low. From 100% stock, we have seen those gains, but in the end, that's still around...

GEN 2 Whipple Stage 1 Kit Feedback Thread!

You are correct, my mistake. The old cal does not have the new cal in its priors list, so it doesn't recognize it. I may have new files by end of day today, worst case monday morning. The tune you have, which 3 people got, due to the shutters not staying open all the time and IC fan speed...

GEN 2 Whipple Stage 1 Kit Feedback Thread!

FYI, you can put the old tune back in and compare. You just drop the BIN file on the SD card (only 1 BIN on SD card at a time) and flash it. The power difference is roughly 25RWHP so its noticeable, but not night and day. New tune will be monday, but that will not fix your issue. There could...

Anyone can purchase the Tomahawk tool, but at anytime, you can send in for a free update. ---------- Post added at 11:44 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:37 AM ---------- Great to hear. I tested the adapters, I don't see them making any power difference. They're nice, but back to...

That's just where we roll into the throttle, the biggest actual gains is 1500-3000rpm range. The reason the peak HP is not as high on the top is a few things, 91 octane and injector tip temp limiting. We are strict on the injector tip limiting because they will fail overtime if overheated. Then...

We had an issue with a P0061A and we resolved that so we'll get to the bottom of it. The speed info is now in multiple modules which makes it more complicated, but the Tomahawk can flash any module in the vehicle.

Looking into but can't confirm at this time. ---------- Post added at 04:40 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:38 PM ---------- If you have our Stage 1 cal and a stock file, you can flip it back and forth 3 times, then you will need new version cal (no charge). So yes, if you put it to...

Ford has made thousands of cal changes and from launch, they have made numerous updates. Our latest adopted all there changes in torque control, shifting, etc. The other change is for very cold temps. Ford limits power here significantly, we don’t limit as much.

Knock means how much timing the knock sensor is adding or subtracting. Its a feed forward system, the knock sensor will add until it knocks, then pull back. It basically works just like the O2 sensors, constantly adjusting timing. It has a 4 deg limit. Anyone who is running octane booster...

    Whipple tune only

If you request a stock tune, we send it. Our Tomahawk instructions state this, if stock tune is needed, request and we will send in 24-48 hours. But if you a custom tune, you would be better of returning to stock so you can keep that cal if needed. ---------- Post added at 05:49 PM ----------...

ADD Intercooler and Relo Kit Compared to Whipple Intercooler

Cold start woudln't really matter, I was referring to overheat in offroad applications as the radiator struggles to keep up. Blocking the airflow through the radiator no matter what, impedes flow. In some cases its not much so I'm not saying it fails, just stating in general terms. But the...

ADD Intercooler and Relo Kit Compared to Whipple Intercooler

Thank you. To answer your questions, we went with one that doesn't require cutting up the grill area. Years passed, you could just unbolt parts and it would fit, but now you have to cut the shutter assembly out. That create's its own issue. The radiator mount version also requires removal of the...

Yup, in all honesty, we didn't get contacted again that we are aware of. Doesn't mean it didn't happen, but we don't have any record of being contacted. WARNING To Anyone Thinking About Getting A Whipple CAI

This is so basic and is unbelievable how far this has gone. First, standard practice is no return on used parts therefore that will be the standard answer if requested. Understanding the hardship the customer was under, the lack of instructions stating that it may need tuning all factor into...
