What did you do to your Gen 3 today?

Yes, they are raised/domed and made to fit within the outline. They definitely aren’t thin vinyl cutouts. TufskinZ says that they made of a UV resistant resin with a 3M adhesive backing. Given the cost, I certainly hope that they don’t fade and last for a good long while. :D

What did you do to your Gen 3 today?

Here you go. I was concerned that they would really stick out like a sore thumb but it turns out they’re a little more subtle from a distance than I thought when I first applied them.

Decided to add some color to the hood thanks to TUFSKINZ.

These look great. Do you have to remove any of the shutters in order to install them?

What did you do to your Gen 3 today?

I’ve got a DiamondBack HD on my Gen 3 and while it is heavy, I didn’t notice any sagging. However, when I added the CargoGlide into the equation, I did notice some rear sagging. On the plus side, I didn’t need to add collars to the front to even out the ride height. :D

I see that bumper and I want it painted black. (Apologies to The Rolling Stones) :D

    Heavy Console Lid

I did this on mine but it took $0.20 in Nickels, one under each end of the two springs. I’d suggest using a small Vise-Grip to grab the spring ends to pry them up to put the spacer in rather than using an awl or screwdriver. Was a lot easier and less risky to your fingers.

What did you do to your Gen 3 today?

Understand. I have mixed feelings about it. I’ve used the work surface and found it useful but given the weight and that you have to have the vehicle parked to use it, it’s limited in its usefulness. So it wouldn’t bother me if it wasn’t there.

What did you do to your Gen 3 today?

Trying to build up my right arm strength by making that console lid even heavier than it already is. :D I did use four Nickels to preload the springs but that only made the lid stay open before adding the MOLLE panel. The mechanism that assists the lid in staying open needs a serious rethink by...

What did you do to your Gen 3 today?

Sounds like a good plan and should look nice. I will note that the fit of the guard over the inserts and trailing arm is pretty tight. So you may want to do a quick test fit to see how much room you have for an extra layer of paint. It shouldn’t be an issue but always good to check first.

What did you do to your Gen 3 today?

Super easy. Didn’t even need the jack to do it. Just a wrench and nut driver with socket. Take the bolts and spacers out along with the inserts. Set everything close to the trailing arm. Place the inserts into each side of the trailing arm and hold them in pace with one hand. Then use your...

What did you do to your Gen 3 today?

Got the COBB Air Intake and Radiator Shroud installed and in the process managed to drop the screw holding the air inlet into the endless void that is the engine compartment never to be seen again (unless it turns up in one of my wheels ). Went to get one from the Ford parts department and...

What did you do to your Gen 3 today?

Nice weather here in KC, so got the rims swapped out to Gen 2 ones (yeah it’s retro but IMHO they’re the best looking rims Ford ever put on the Raptor) and installed some SwarfWorks Rear Trailing Arm Guards that I had picked up back around Thanksgiving. Tomorrow will be spent installing the...

    New Albertan Gen 3

Congratulations on the new Raptor and welcome to the forum. Good to see that they do exist north of the US as our Raptor felt alone this fall when driving around the Alberta Province. Saw more Broncos than you could shake a stick at (most with cracked windshields). Probably weren’t stopping...

    Oil catch can

Hopefully they implement the final product better than Mishimoto did theirs. I have their catch can on my ST and liked the fit/finish of it so bought their dual can version for the Raptor and it’s been nothing but a failure even with Mishimoto trying to offer tech support. Not sure how you...

Except in the salt belt of the US. :D However, where you’re at that is something you won’t have to worry about. Congratulations on owning an iconic piece of American muscle.

What did you do to your Gen 3 today?

Headlights and cowl induction gave it away. Very nice ride and a perfect car for Florida. Enjoy the heck out of it. Had a friend in HS who had one. Probably wishes he still had it. :D

Where does your Gen 3 sleep at night?

When it’s not in the driveway (it cant clear the 1980’s vintage garage opening) getting prepped for a trip or adding some optional things, it hibernates in a cave (well actually an old underground limestone mine) about five minutes from the house with a bunch of other cars, trucks, boats and...

    GEN3 Forscan

My ’22 non-R has the same behavior after doing the modification. Not sure why it is different on other Raptors but since it functions properly otherwise, I’m not complaining.
