OK, good to know, I'll see if that is an option.
My pump is actually whining quite a bit. The current theory is that the rack was leaking, it got low and the pump got some air in the system. The shop can't tell if the pump is good or not until the rack gets replaced so starting with that and...
My steering rack is leaking and my shop is suggesting replacing it. It sounds like this is no longer available from Ford and reman is the only option. Is there a consensus on the best reman to go with? Anything else that should be done at the same time?
Thanks guys, I’m gonna take it back in and have them reroute it underneath. It also looks like the passenger side leaf springs is rubbing on the exhaust. Is that typical with Deavers?
Recently got my Deaver springs installed by my local shop. I noticed this while parked slightly off camber
The bump stop is contacting the e brake cable. Should this be routed differently? Possibly under the springs?
The replacement parts aren't that terribly expensive but I'm not sure how much labor that will be for the shop to press out the old ones and install the new ones, I'm thinking it might not be cheap.
I called Camburg and you guys aren't wrong. It doesn't sound like the uniballs love being in the snow or harsh conditions although even in good conditions they sound kind of high maintenance, according to what they said.
The Icons that my shop was trying to talk me into don’t actually fit raptors, they are for all the other f150s. I went with Camburg. Seemed like a good middle of the road upgrade that won’t require me to ditch my factory wheels (yet).
Their UCAs look really nice but it's not quite in the budget and it would require me having 0 offset wheels which I'm planning on eventually but will be a bit down the road. I'm kind of leaning towards those camburg 1.25 tubulars at the moment.
My UCAs are shot and it's time for a replacement. My shop is telling me that they can't get the OEM parts, I've got some calls into online parts places and am waiting on calls back. I can't tell if these are available online or not.
My shop is also suggesting that if I plan to run 37s (I do)...
Looks like Rock Auto is out of stock on these, anywhere else that people order from with good prices and fast shipping? My local Ford dealer is terrible and I've got no interesting in using them.
Hopefully I’ll have some real world feedback in a week or 2. Shocks and springs are on there way. Ordering Deavers tomorrow but I think there is a bit of a weight for those.
Can’t fit 37s without fenders? That doesn’t seem right. Geiser says on their site that with their springs and mid perch it clears 37s. But now I’m a little unsure about going mid if that’s going to cause issues for the shocks?
Also I’ve been told the BFGs run small, not a true 37?
edit: I...
Appreciate the info. If I go low perch can I still clear 37" BFG K02s?
When I called Deaver about the leaf springs (I've gotta order a custom pack because I'm running a GFC camper) they asked me if I want to add a 1" lift or not. Any consensus on this? I'm all for a little more clearance but...
I'm pretty sure my original shocks have the full 115k that the truck has on them for mileage (I'm the 3rd owner and previous guy wasn't sure). The fronts are leaking and it was time to freshen things up. I got 4 new 2.5s coming from Rock Auto and a set of Geiser springs on the way. I'll be...
I've got some of that handy actually. When you use that, are you just doing it around the opening on the body where the light mounts to? Or are you applying the tape to the light somehow?
I searched, read about 20 different threads on this and am still not quite sure what the correct fix is.
Seems like some options are:
new 3rd brake light from Ford although it sounds like the replacements still leak?
pump a bunch of silicone around the brake light and re-install
remove old...
