A clay bar should do it. There bug and tar removers out there but the clay bar will be safe to use. You will need to reapply the wax after using the bar.
I just had mine replaced as well. Mine is also still making the noise. Does the door work on a vacuum and will it always make the sound when starting the truck? I had mine replaced because it was not cooling correctly.
I have a steamer and it works well on the engine and interior. I have not tried it on the outside of the vehicle. The Optima is a high dollar unit. The only concern I would have about using it on the outside is the stripping of the wax due to the heat and pressure.
My last Chevy came with touch up paint. Does anyone know if the ford touch up paint comes in a marker pen? Our Audi touch up paint comes in a tube with the head that looks like a highlighter.
I just installed the Sylvania SilverStar Ultra. I have not had a chance to drive on a dark road but driving around town I can tell that they are brighter than stock. Just remember when changing then to push down on the clip then press the clip in. Yeah I was not thinking and broke the clip on...
Guys - what are the round pieces that look like caps that are mounted to the frame next to the headlights? I looked thorugh the manual but have not been able to located them. Thanks for the help.
I have the Flex XC 3401 VGR Dual Action Orbital. I like it because I has the power to do some paint correction and you don't really have to worry about it burning through the clear coat and paint like you do with a rotary.
I bought an aftermarket antenna from Advanced Auto Parts and had it on for awhile. I decided to cut my original antenna down to keep from hitting my garage and when I went to remove the aftermarket it was stuck. Some how the threads had welded together and I ended up having to buy a new...
I was thinking that the clay bar might be used to roll over the area and it might pick up the concrete. You are right I would not have tried rubbing it with the clay bar. I am guessing the body shop used a type of solvent to break down the concreate and remove it.
I usually wait about 12 hours to make sure it has had time to fully cure. The collinite #845 works well and is pretty durable. I have used it on my vehicles but I actually bought it to use on our boat.
Once you wash it well you can try using a clay bar. The bar does a good job of removing most things off of the paint. You can pick a mother's clay bar up at Walmart or an automotive store.
I like using black to back as well but it will run and streak when it gets wet, but all of the cleaners will. The only way to really keep it from running is to use a dye like forever black. You can find all of these products at autogeek.net as well.
I typically use Meguiars interior products. Depending on the look you like you can can get super shine or natural shine for the dash and doors. I just use glass cleaner on the door handles and aluminum trim. I have never used the 1z einszett interior but I have heard good reviews on them.
Ahhhh finally someone like me! I use Meguires #21 (let it cure for a hour or so before removing) and then the Pinnacle Liquid Souverän Wax. What do you use?
I use menzerna polish and wolfgang deep gloss paint sealant. I then use mothers for the carnauba coat. I typically use Meguires'...
I did a two step polish on mine and then used a sealant. The sealant will give it the wet appearance and is typically good for about 3-5 months. I also applied a carnauba wax over the sealant to give it the depth. I am like you and it drives me nuts to have my black truck dirty so I use a...
It looks like Louisburg Ford has one in Louisburg, KS. Ask for Jeff Lunsford and tell him Eric sent you to him. I purchased my black raptor from him. PM me if you have any questions.
