Factory installed spray in liner vs aftermarket

I too am very pleased with the factory liner. My daughter has aftermarket spray-in on her 2011 f-150, and it is also very good, but is fading a bit. Our family is happy with both.

    Raptor Bumpers

Sorry I do not want to hijack, but my wife just got tagged in her 2011 Lariet from a red light start. Everyone was stopped and the light changed and she was rear ended. I live in an area of Fl with a lot of seniors and minors. We have been rear ended this way 3X. Every time same thing...

    JLT oil separator

I think you are right on! A buddy of mine, BIG ford guy, told me same. He found out hard way. After rebuilding a 302, he crossed the plumbing and blew the head gaskets out in short order. Thanks, I learned something new! I had about 500 miles on my JLT and was amazed at how much oil was in...

    JLT oil separator

JLT did not create a kit for the drivers side. Any ideas why the passenger side collects oil and the drivers side is dry? This prolly just saved me $119. Thanks.

    JLT oil separator

I just installed the JLT on mine and was surprised in how much oil it collected in short order. Would it be beneficial to have a unit on the drivers side as well?

    No rear sway bar?

I'm confused. When you guys are talking "perch" lingo you are talking front sway bar right? Does anyone run a rear bar and if so what are the advantages for daily driving and towing up to 5,000 lbs.? Sorry I posted this in the wrong place.

    Tranny fluid no dipstick?

I'm coming from a ZF 6 speed 7.3L and this transmission seems to downshift when slowing with my foot off the gas..........like it is doing a "manual" downshift. I'm also pretty impressed in 6th gear with 4.10 gears the engine is turning @1,500 RPM @55-60mph. I haven't really put the hammer...

    Tranny fluid no dipstick?

Pirate Air, from your experience if it is a poop design, is it still a good tranny? I am impressed with it so far. Dave

    No rear sway bar?

Coming from '99 SD 7.3L 4X4. I added a rear sway bar to my SD. I see this truck does not have one. I assume the SVT people know what they are doing and the truck rides great. Just wondering why no rear sway bar? Dave

    Tranny fluid no dipstick?

Is the transmission non-serviceable? I was thinking of adding a cooler, but when I looked for a dipstick there was none. I read in the manual that the tranny shouldn't need service for 150K. I understand the deal with FMC not wanting to cover mess-ups on fluid selection, but what if you...

Anyone try a kit to relocate oil filter?

My dealer will do my first oil change free. I am going to full synthetic. Do you think if I pay the difference between the semi and full they will honor the change if I want the full synthetic? My options are have them do the 1st change at 1,000 miles with semi-synth and switch over myself @...

    Canton Mecca Oilfilter

I've had 2 7.3L diesels at one time for over 10 years. I have 2 5 gallon jugs. Autozone and Advance Auto Parts in Florida will take 5 gallons to recycle per day. I buy my filters there...Mobil 1 M1-601.......but I got the Delo or Rotella at Wally World. My local landfill takes 10 gallons of...

how often is too often to wax?

I am not a pro. I am a doubting Thomas. SHOW ME. My '99 SD and '02 X looked showroom using Blitz carnauba car wax (expensive) and in between Wax-As-U-Dry Eagle One with a "absorber" (cheap) works great. I try to wash my vehicle weekly, but as I get older, work gets more demanding, and kids...

Anyone try a kit to relocate oil filter?

Ok, sorry to sound stupid, but I am coming over from 7.3L diesels. In the 7.3's, I drained the pan, took off the filter, and waited. With this motor it is the same. Remove plug, remove filter, wait, and then add 7 qts. whether you prefill or not? This 7 qts. will not over fill. Sorry, I'm...

Anyone try a kit to relocate oil filter?

I have not changed mine yet. Probably getting the Fumoto valve. Had it on our 7.3's and works great. Looks like the angled pan of the 6.2 will work well with the valve without the optional hose. So the verdict is Torx T-30, remove access plate, remove filter? Any ideas of how much oil to...

Anyone try a kit to relocate oil filter?

Oil filter looks tough to drain + change without too much mess. I also like the filters open end up to prefill and prevent mess. l guess you could add a cooler and gain some extra volume too. Justwondering if anyone has moved it and kept the 820 filter? Thanks.
