Just bought me some Sumo's for the back of my '17. We'll see. I did just do a nice long tow from Ohio to St. Louis and I have to say, the Raptor tows better than my Dodge 2500 Diesel LB, 4x. Just had a lot more power on tap going up the hills. Coming back loaded it was squating in the back...
Used Adam's Surface Prep on my wifes Lexus yesterday followed by their Graphine Spray. Looks pretty nice. I used a clay pad (not bar) on it ahead of time. Only thing I noticed was the clay pad (which is synthetic) does not make the surface as smooth as a clay bar. I have an identical Lexus...
They're priced too high for what they are/aren't. Some resto-mods have been done right, but there is too much on them that was designed or built wrong. Buying anything close to stock isn't something I'd ever recommend. "The horror"!
Thanks for the quick reply. I'm on Adam's site, is there something I should use after clay baring before the graphene spray? Something that you spray on and wipe off, not a rotational polisher.
I just got mine two weeks ago too, pretty fun huh! I'm still dealing with the learning curve with all the electronics and such. Pretty amazing truck so far. Enjoy it man!
Well the manual says their telescoping and folding, but I haven't actually done it yet, so if may not be an option on the Raptor, but the manual says it.
Yes, the Audi definitely can be a money pit. Use to have an A8. Wonderful car, but there wasn't a single item on that car that cost less than 1K to fix. Nothing. If a drop of anything hit the ground, 1K. If a light came on, 1K. I miss that car, but not it's upkeep.
I have a Scab in Performance blue. I think I've settled on the ARE shell too. You say you ordered the classis, is that a Revo classic or is it just their ARE Classic? Can you tell me what they're charging for the color matched shell?
I have not read the previous 10 pages, but, just no to HF jacks. I use two Lincoln/Walker jacks. One I've had since 1989. I'm not offroading with the jacks on hand though, just in my shop.
I don't have any mods planned....maybe a shell and Decked setup down the road, but I'm still pretty stoked with the truck the way it is. I keep learning more stuff it's capable of every day. Folding and telescoping mirrors, who would have thunk!
I still like small AC fridges and freezers run by a small inverter generator for a few hours/day. Keeps deer/elk/pigs, frozen or cold. You have a freezer/fridge you can use elsewhere as well as a generator too. 12V fridges pull a lot of amps, and aren't as efficient as 110V.
