Couple things to add, just plugging in does not switch to wired CarPlay. You either have to turn off Bluetooth and WiFi or reconfigure your device to not allow for wireless.
Also I must be in the minority to have very few issues with CarPlay or sync in general. I’ve had one sync crash...
Did you ever have A/C issues (evap freezing over)? That section does come out with the dash, so maybe it was dropped when they removed the dash for the evap / sensor.
My money is on the fuel, especially when I saw the 91+ non ethanol. It is probably the same supplier to all those stations. I would ask around and see if you can find the company and what they blend with.
It’s the dealer policy, especially the ones here in MN that sell at sticker (and also sold me a 2020 at invoice). They would rather sell locally and get your reoccurring service business and a chance at your trade-in in the future than just transactional. I appreciate it.
Not sure if this applies to your issue. But on cold starts the truck activates the front hubs for a few miles (assuming to warm up the diff) even in 2wd. So they could try to replicate but potentially not have the issue at all if they didn’t drive it for a while.
I have the same IWE issues, only happens when stopping under 15 mph in 2wd (truck also has to be warmed up after a couple miles). It almost sounds like tire noise or a rock stuck in the rotor. I'm just driving in 4a until there is a TSB or part redesign.
I commented on your Facebook post but does it change if you switch between 4a vs 2wd? If so it definitely sounds like the recent IWE issues people are seeing
I can’t remember where I saw it but someone had a video of some vibration/taping in the steering wheel that would happen at the same spot on their daily commute, below a certain temp, and only in 2wd (or some weird combination of things, can’t remember exactly).
Ended up being an issue with the...
Your best bet is to complain about sync freezing up and hope someone knowledgeable can update or at least get your truck unstuck to receive OTA updates. If you don’t have full screen there’s a chance the truck never received an OTA update and is pretty far behind - it will take a long time to...
I would still put money that your truck / start stop is working as intended and there are no issues (unless you have some SS related soft fault code or charging code).
I’ve never watched for it but I bet my truck goes a while without start stop functioning, maybe due to extreme weather here in...
Given I’ve never received the deep sleep notification even after weeks of vacation and maybe driving just once a week on short trips, I don’t think it’s normal to get that notification and sounds like there is something causing low voltage in your case.
Truck always has power, modem is...
Couple things for OP:
Are you positive start/stop is not functioning due to the battery charge? The SS strategy seems pretty complicated for it to work and may not be battery related at all and is just normal operation. If you aren't getting deep sleep mode or other issues it's probably fine...
Weird I remember my 2020 being a rubber dome like button you could press. 2021 is just a piece of plastic without any play.
You do have to touch / hold it for 1 second per the manual. I did have a learning curve at first but I haven't had any issues since.
I think the issue is it is no longer a button - it’s touch sensitive now. Kind of have to treat it differently, instead of a pinpoint press it’s more consistent with a deliberate covering of the button without as much pressure.
Also make sure you don’t grab the handle to trigger unlocking...
