GEN 2 Has Anyone Removed the Hood Stripes?

I removed the hood stripes and the raptor logo on the side of the bed. It is fairly straightforward. Just heat it up with a heat gun or hair dryer while being careful to not put too much heat in any one spot. You can then peel up a corner and then with the heat peel as fast or slow as it...

    Terrain Management troubleshooting

Recently my 2019 started throwing the error on the display of “Terrain Management Not Available” whenever I tried to select a driving mode. I have spent a ridiculous amount of time understanding the Terrain Management System (TMS) by trial and error, diagnostic tools, and the help of our forum...

"Terrain management not available" after leaving a parking lot

The dealership just called, and the tech spent all day working on it and couldn't find anything wrong. The only new piece of information was that the system worked briefly if you disconnect the battery and reconnect it. They also said, they didn't want to spend anymore time working on it and...

"Terrain management not available" after leaving a parking lot

Yes we tested on every module. Even programmed every module to the latest from Ford. Nothing came up. I felt very defeated taking it to the dealer.

"Terrain management not available" after leaving a parking lot

My 2019 bought this past June is currently at the dealer for the same issue. I’ll let you know what I hear back. Before taking it in we went over it with a fine tooth comb checking all the ground points, scanning with the Ford IDS software and we could not find anything that would explain why...

Here they are lit up in the evening. I am considering blacking out the AUX label since they are brighter than the switch text. I’ll test it on one of my reject switches to see how it looks.

Here is a switch I cut in half to see if the white plastic went all the way through. As you see the switch is predominately white plastic with a thin layer of black on the outside and most of the inside (they didn't put the black plastic on the inside where the AUX 1..6 labels are). The only...

Plugged them in and I like how they look when the switch is activated. I will get a picture when it is dark out of how they look when in the off position at night.

I decided to reduce the font a smidge to keep the letters away from the edge of the switch. This helps because there is a lot of material to remove at the edges in order for them to be backlit correctly. Here is the switch after I reduced the font size from 10pt to 9pt and laser engraved a new...

I need to do a bit more work with the dremel to make all the switches light up evenly but I like the first result.

I’d consider it. Depending on how it looks installed I’ll know if I need to replace the stock leds with brighter ones and therefore the effort needed to produce these.

I decided to try and and customize the upfitter switches. In my other cars I have had luck using my laser machine to engrave the stock switches so that they light up and have a more custom look. I ordered some extra upfitter switch assemblies to serve as Guinea pigs. Turns out the switch is...

Not yet. I keep adding things and a number of the parts have taken a long time to arrive. We are getting closer but still have to decide on if I'm going to widebody the rear to match the wide front. That will take more time and money as body shops around here are expensive.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have added that to the list to be done before I get it back.

How do you remove the OEM hood vent on GEN 2 Raptors?

I had mine replaced with the cf and I can ask my shop if you don't have success

Vogue Autowerks in Kirkland He has done custom work on my R8 and he and his friends are all big raptor offroaders. So once I decided to do this I basically gave him a blank slate to do all the mods he felt were necessary. He suggested cut frame bumpers, but my wife is a huge fan of big metal...

All in I am at 60K for the work I have outlined. I have added extra stuff like a pro eagle jack, power tank, bed lights, etc that aren't included in that.

Thinking about this it brings up a big point for me. Since I am replacing quite a few of the stock parts, I have a small mountain of OEM parts collecting dust. They don't have enough resale value to focus on trying to sell them off. Does anyone know of a good way to move them along without...

Haha. Yeah, I kinda went off the deep end on this. I am so looking forward to seeing what it can do when I get it back.

I also redid the stereo system. I kept the stock SYNC system but replaced all the speakers with Focals and put in the JL Audio stealthbox under the rear seats. All driven by a new JL Audio VX1000/5i amp with the NavTV module to connect to the SYNC headunit.

My builder and I talked at length about the rear brakes. It pains me to not put the bigger brakes on the rears, but the amount of work to fabricate new mounts to hold a Tesla ebrake just was beyond the value prop I would get in return. I have to believe that one of the big brake makers will...

Here are some photos of the truck while it is being worked on. Some of the parts like the front Fox 3.0 shocks took forever to arrive.

Here are pics the day I brought it home. I have since removed the Raptor sticker on the truck bed as I prefer a more clean look.
