    Power steering issues fixed cheap!

I get that but I haven’t needed it. I could see if it’s a dedicated prerunner on 40’s why you might want it, but I’ve had no issues with my stock pump. The cooler was $29 and I’ve chased full long travel trucks hammering on the steering and have had no reason to upgrade

    Power steering issues fixed cheap!

Yeah, I’m still on the stock pump at 160k miles, and am still using the stock reservoir. I’ve done like 3 Baja trips, 37’s, lots of steering lock and 4wd prerunning and no issues after installing the cooler.

    Power steering issues fixed cheap!

I have the stock reservoir and have had no issues. My fluid has a ton of off-road miles and 3 Baja trips and no issues with burning or pump whining with the cooler alone. Unless you’re absolutely driving the **** out of the truck I wouldn’t spend the hundreds of dollars on a reservoir.

    Yes they’re available

    Gen 2 Bump Stop Kit

Honestly, I’m not sure. There are very few successful companies that make raptor performance parts and I’m guessing they might have just been unable to survive competition from RPG and SVC.

    Long travel options/reviews

I am about to pull the trigger on a long travel kit for my Gen 1 and am torn on what option to go with as it’s hard to find good objective info on these kits. I’m looking at either the Baja kits/brenthel long travel race kit, or the blitzkrieg long travel race kit. Blitzkrieg has awesome...

    Shock options

Because of the weight of the truck, I’d get 3.0’s. If you look on Craigslist, Facebook marketplace, race dezert, the raptor Facebook groups, etc, there are lots of used 3.0’s.

    Geisers or stock?

Geisers should be softer than stock actually. They’re progressive and have farther spaced coils. I had geisers before I went to kings and they felt softer than stock

    Best On-road, Street Raptor upgrades...

I drove my track car on NT05’s (basically grooved slicks) in the rain and never once hydroplaned. I get what you’re saying but for the average person driving a 6000+ pound truck, street traction doesn’t really matter. With completely bald tires you’d have enough traction on a raptor to get you...

Who cares about how much grip offroad tires have on the street?

I didn’t say there was any certain psi at which your load is dramatically reduced or at which you’ll have problems. If you look at the manufacturer load table for your model of tire, you will see they provide safe load carrying capabilities for different tire pressures. Given that I’m a...

    Best On-road, Street Raptor upgrades...

I love my icons and suspect that both feel very similar. However, there are 2 main differences. Deaver uses more leaves per pack which in theory may ride better as they can be more progressive (although my icons ride so much better than stock), and icon includes an extra leaf that can be added...

I don’t like running lower tire pressures on the street to increase ride because you’re lowering your load capability and on such a heavy truck can have very adverse effects on tire wear

New Gen 1 Owner in SoCal.

Well that’s complete nonsense because good dynos are designed to exactly replicate the resistance a given vehicle would see on pavement. Nice rotors and pads are a few hundred, an R1 big brake kit is 4K, and even the most expensive big brake kit is only 5-6k.

Leaf springs help quite a bit. For the money they make a massive difference.

    Forged offroad front bump stops?

I have a Gen 1 with kings up front, and an SVC bed cage in back with 3.0’s. After seeing what all that rear travel can do, I’m getting disappointed with the front, but don’t really want to spend 6-7k for a long travel kit as this truck is my daily driver and I don’t want to risk breaking it and...

Should I stay away from a 2010 with 170k miles?

But this truck doesn’t have those. It just has 3.0’s that you can get used all day long for a couple grand. The ones on the truck are just as used as any others you’d buy.

    GEN 2 Tire wear

I really wouldn’t be too concerned about safety. I drove my track car which was on Nitto NT05’s which are basically grooved slicks in the rain and never had any issues. If you want to replace them simply due to a loss of offroad traction, then sure, replace them, but I wouldn’t do it out of...
