If you’re going to run the Amsoil synthetic, run their filter as well. Their filters perform very well from what I’ve seen in the past. Other than that, the FL500 will handle synthetic just fine.
I love it when random idiots on the Internet think they know better than the next guy just trying to crowd source information.
You’re not going to like this part but I can guarantee I know more than you when it comes to the automotive world and I have the degree to prove it.
My wife drives 5...
I hate to tell you this, but the 5.4L had some of those issues too. Don’t see you going on about that though.
And Ford is not a design/test company, which is why the Ecoboost powered GTs competed in and dominated their IMSA/WEC class, which is why the Ecoboost was used in a Gen 1 Raptor...
Bro…you do realize that this motor has been around in some shape or form since 2011. That’s over 11 years and a couple million engines. That’s not even including the 2.7L.
The few issues the 3.5L does have have been well documented and corrected. Ford is so confident in it, it’s the top tier...
I got money once under my pillow when my tooth fell out, but I learned later in life that it was a complete fabrication and absolute ********… much like this post.
Don’t know how I feel about it. Definitely looks like a well made product, but I’m not sure I’m interested in making the truck louder unless there’s a serious improvement in tone. The Corsa Sport system can be mildly obnoxious at times.
First off, perform a good bleed on your brakes.
Secondly, the stock pads are fine. They are performance oriented, but there’s only so much you can do with the stock F150 brake setup. It’s limited by 17” wheels and stock calipers. It’ll get you there once or twice but don’t depend on them for...
I’m a believer in battery maintenance. I was once told by a DC electrical engineer that you would have to drive the equivalent of 700 miles without any accessories on to fully charge a car battery if it was dead and you jumped it. That’s not to mention the massive strain it puts on your...
Winter fuel will get you every time. But keep in mind you’re going up and down some decent hills over there too. Any time the boost gauge pipes up the fuel gauge slips down. Is what it is. If you were cruising flat land out west at 68-70 MPH, you’d notice a substantial difference.
I mean, it’s one thing to rig it up to get it going. But I really wouldn’t recommend that as a long term fix. God only knows what else was damaged in the impact on that rack. I also believe it’s the same knuckle but I could be wrong.
While I agree with that for the most part, I’d also say that the Raptor already comes with a fairly high performance pad from the factory and that there are very few aftermarket options that are a “true”
upgrade from an otherwise excellent factory option.
The Ferodo pad you mentioned is one of...
This is true. The Raptor pads are NOT the same as the regular F150 pads, and I believe they the police responder units are even better. The Raptor pads are $80 off RA and the PR pads are near $100.
And as for the guys above talking about fade, fade is caused by a buildup of heat between the...
I would not recommend aftermarket slotted/drilled rotors. The drilling and slotting makes them thinner than the stock solid rotors. Slotted rotors will evacuate heat best but at the cost of vibration under braking and premature pad wear.
I’ve done a lot of research on brakes over the years and...
