I used a rubber hose and placed it by my ear as a makeshift ‘stethoscope’ to try to pinpoint the noise. It’s definitely coming from the rear of the engine near the transmission bell housing. I’m thinking it’s something caught inside the transmission bell or one of the turbos is going out.
Just checked that. There’s play in the clip, but if i grab it with pliers, the noise still persists. I can pinpoint the noise a little more and it almost seems to be coming from the oil pan area.

This rattling noise started recently. It’s very noticeable when the truck is cold but a lot less noticeable when it warms up.
Seems to be coming from somewhere in/near the engine. Taking it to the stealership Monday...
I already put the panels back on, I can take it off and take some better pictures later. But here is what the wires were.
A blue with black line wire is cut and routed to/from the box.
A green with white line wire is tapped into.
A white with yellow line is tapped into.
A white with blue line...
I bought my truck used and just noticed the button in the driver footwell. I followed the cable to the passenger footwell and found this gray box.
It’s definitely not oem as you can tell by the wiring.
Anyone have an idea to what it is?
Has anyone successfully installed the convex mirror (smaller mirror on the drivers side) from the lariat onto a gen 2?
I noticed a lariat had a convex mirror on the driver side (didn’t check passenger side) and wondered if it would be possible to install a Ford oem one onto the raptor while...
Its hard to get a recording of this but basically when under mild or light acceleration then suddenly letting off the gas you can hear a very brief rattle coming from the front.
I checked for loose bolts and stuff like that and cant seem to find anything.
Ideas? Ill try to get a good...
i don’t believe there is a way to program new keys via forscan. You have to take it to a dealership that’s willing to program it or a local locksmith that has that capability.
So it happened. Had the dealer check and confirmed that it was the canister purge valve. Unfortunately not covered under the PT Warranty? (my truck has 45k miles) I had read enough about it on the forums to know that I can replace it myself.
Did you all order the $100 revised oem part from...
No, I haven’t had to install any relays or fuses. Just however the truck came. I was just wanting to do the least invasive way of getting power back there.
I will probably end up running a fused cable from the battery to be bed like you mentioned.
Dur. :banghead:
That wasn't my question. I am asking if there is a way to "program" the trailer plug's 12v terminal to always be on via Forscan or for suggestions on getting constant power to the bed.
I am not located in FL but I have helped a few people remotely. You just need to buy your own cable & forscan license and I will do it for you via a zoom, Skype or Teamviewer session on your laptop.
Not sure if I am allowed to post my contact information on here but here it is anyway if you are...
So I am hooking up some lights on my bed rack to use when we are camping. However I am having issues finding constant 12v power going to the bed. I thought I scored when I saw the trailer hitch had a 12v source but it turns out that it's only on when the truck is running or in accessory mode...
