Positive. Especially careful working on this truck since it’s mine, and it’s already a pain in the balls to take the elbow off the rear of the SC just to do plugs, wires, and coils. At this point, if it’s not plug gap related it would have to be an injector issue. And I’m ok with that now that...
I’ll try that next. I had taken the rear elbow off the SC to get the driver’s side valve cover off to inspect for broken valve springs. Plus side, valves are good.
Always ran premium, never anything less. Stock thermostat. I use royal purple injector cleaner 2 times a year. I’ll go after the MAF and clean that. I service the air filter every 3,000 miles.
I’m on the same boat as you. Let me apologize if I hijack this thread a little. 2014 6.2 Roush stage 2. JDM tune, New plugs gapped to .030, wires, coils, fuse 27 done, and still have a misfire issue. Calibration done on CKP Neutral Profile Correction, and I still misfire under load.
I was...
it’s tempting. But I am thinking that keeping the boost lower and the HP lower would extend the life of the motor. I would be happy to see this monster make 200,000 miles. (Without a rebuild)
I’ll say this. Get used to changing plugs every 20k miles. You’ll burn them out. You’ll get knock sensor codes. Also, Roush tune sucks. Spend the extra money on a JDM tune. And upgrade the plugs.
So ah, funny thing that slipped my mind. BAD FUEL. ♂️. Even though I purchased 93, I clearly didn’t get that in the tank. High compression motors, turbo, SC, all require high octane. Poor gas will trip your knock sensor. Ran mine down to 1/2 tank being gentle with the rpms, and topped off with...
2014 SE Roush, DD, can get 14-15MPG’s if you cruise around 55-60 on the highway. Unfortunately, she seems to be happiest at 80-90. I’m never late to work, or getting home for dinner. Lol
I only put 5k miles on my 2014 Ruby SCREW, but it too has a Roush in it. I’m praying it’ll make it into the 200k range like the older 5.4’s. She’s only got 30k total on the clock, so it’ll be a few years before I get there. Lol
Look, it’s a fancy over priced Ram rebel with a supercharged motor. And I’m sorry but ram trucks are like assholes, everybody has one. Now, a Raptor is a way less common truck (although I see gen 2’s all over Long Island). And duck man, a raptor is a ford. They run forever. I’m hoping my gen 1...
