Also, the way they may be able to tell is the start/stop cycle counter in the ECU. When you flash a new tune, that number may get reset. If you have 30K miles on your truck and they find that there are only 10 start/stop cycles in the counter, they will know that some process reset the ECU. In...
The only way to stop the ADMs is to get rid of the monopoly that most automakers have with the dealers. Give the people the option to buy direct from Ford and see how long the ADMs last at dealers.
My Raptor barely got into the parking garage at Sea Tac airport. There was a few pucker moments going up the ramps. Had to stay towards the outside of the circle to be safe.
Back in 2007 I bought an FJ Cruiser. Before I took it to work, I went around the parking garage and checked and measured...
I was driving through Moab back in August and saw a convoy of camouflaged Ford F-150s being led by a naked 2021 F-150. I believe the camo ones were the Gen3 Raptor as the 2021 regular F-150s had already been released. Didn't have enough time to get pictures :(
I just got back from a long trip that I used the raptor to tow a travel trailer. The trailer was between 5700 and 6000 pounds. I was climbing hills and mountains with no issues. I was blowing past larger pickup trucks with ease. I'm happy with the 3.5 HO Ecoboost.
Seems like this is a known problem with the Ford F-150 fuel system. I guess the 36 gallon tank is so big and the fuel lines are so long that this happens. I don't agree with Ford's advice to not park on an incline and to never let it get down to 1/4 tank. It almost seems like there are no 8...
Also, the truck doesn't shudder or make stalling noises when this happens. It just shuts off. Possibly some protective measure for what it is deeming to be low fuel or low fuel pressure or any of the other things it could be in the fuel system. It should not be doing this.
I ask myself the same thing. I have a SCREW with the 36 gallon tank. Before this happened the tank showed 1/4 full, which would have been around 8 gallons. I did fill it up until the pump stopped. The fuel gauge registered full at that point.
Today I was getting ready to go out in my 19 Raptor. I keep it backed up my driveway which is an incline. The fuel gauge showed 98 miles left. I started it and it ran for awhile and then shutoff. I got a message about auto-start stop needed to be reset. Then I got a low fuel warning and the...
Watching the Ford 2020 F-150 announcement video, I did not see Raptor at the end. There is some writing on the wall behind the presenters that has all of the other trims listed on it. I didn't see Raptor on that list.
I had a Bak Revolver X4 on my Tacoma and really liked it. I chose it because it was a hard rolling cover and didn't take any bed space when rolled up. It has a nice flush fit. I can still see out my back window when it is rolled up. I plan to get another one for my Raptor soon.
I also turned down all of their extras, even GAP. I can get that for $7/mo through my auto insurance. Much better deal.
I sill don't understand 37 2019s and 16 2020s. It just doesn't make sense to have that much inventory of a specialty vehicle that is fairly slow moving due to their prices.
I have no intention of getting it serviced there. It is too far away to be convenient for me. There is a Ford dealer much closer that seems better but they aren't doing anything with pricing. I've been negotiation online and on the phone. I wont even have to set foot in that dealership.
I...
The 2019s that I am looking at are new. Never titled. Yes it is a year old or so. I don't think there is really any noticeable difference between the 2019 and the 2020. There is kind of a mileage trade off with the 2019 in that it will be a year less miles driven which will should be reflected...
I am currently in the market for a Raptor. There is a dealer in the Seattle area that has 37 2019s and 16 2020s on their lot. Seriously. I don't understand the thinking that they need to have so many especially the 2019s. They aren't gold and wont appreciate in value. Supposedly they bought up a...
