Street traction problem with open rear??

gggrrrrrr...... yeah. Thanks for pointing out, YET AGAIN, that my truck doesn't have that nifty 4A setting like my old plain jane f-150, so now I live way up a windy mountain road with lots of ice for 3-4 months out of the year and rainy wet moss for 6 of the other months and I have NO 4A...

    Greetings, y’all!

oh Waaaa..... ;-) In my highly prized and always absolute opinion, I say: So, 1. Sometimes the front shocks are clunky on these things. One of mine was totally blown, and it still drove sort of okay... 2. If you buy your own tires, you get the tires you want, not the tires they pick...

Got smoked by a Prius today....

Y'all jealous much? BTW, I have a dude up the road from me a ways with a camo paint job, big light bar and pillar lights on his prius.... and His front tires are always scalded off by late spring... he just loves trying to kill it.

A-Hole with nose ring wrecked my rear bumper

I'm definitely NOT saying you should lie about any of the incident or your condition, but you also shouldn't leave the services that you've already paid for laying on the table. It truly is how the system is set up, and by using it you also get to contribute to the overall economics by...

A-Hole with nose ring wrecked my rear bumper

    A. It's called subrogation. That's where you have a loss, but the cost of that loss is paid by someone else's insurance. (assholio's in this case) B. Go to your favorite body shop, and ask if they report damage to carfax. If yes: then leave, go to next shop. (Most shops don't use or...

2nd Gen Raptor Resale Value after TRX Release

What!? "Trolling is a waste....!" How could you think that. Here i was thinking my whole life through that trolls were the spice of the internet, providing us with a counterpoint to our own little echo chambers.... Well! There goes another of my life long beliefs...

    Hitch mounted carrier

I bougbt the cheap ass harbor freight deal on a road trip as a temp fix about 15-20 years ago. I figured for that price I'd just replace it before i needed to use it again.... Long story short, I can't seem to break it.... I also use it as a work platform/workbench/tool carrier on the...

    tri folding hard tonneau cover

I went with this on a previous truck. https://rollnlock.com/e-series I can't say enough good things about how dry, convenient and secure it was. Didn't have to open the gate to get in to it. Super durable. I stacked cargo on it and the kids were able to walk around on it, and it locked in...

Best gear to pull cars out of snow banks?

I NEVER use hard or steel rigging. NEVER. Lost a good friend when a cable snapped and it cut him most in half as it snapped back... The steel and cable and chain can build energy and hurt things and injure people. I only use fiber or fabric ropes.. Snatch straps and long tree straps and lift...

    Tire rubbing fix

Send me the spacers! I'll repurpose them as pulleys for use with soft-shackles! They're a whole bunch better than steel cable with blocks and D rings!

    Tire expert needed ridge grapplers

When I priced my Falken's the 35's were a couple hundred bucks more than the 315's. Same size but the 35"s weighed more, and cost more. On the side wall they are marked 315/70-17 with the sizes printed closer to the rim as OAD 35 and OAW 12.5. . I decided it was probably some hocus...

Let's talk about the current market conditions for Gen 1 Raptors

Holy crap dude! That's absolutely awesome! I started out thinking that I was just curious about how cheap they were, but when the tag came up with your Amazon Prime account and all I had to do was put in my own address in for shopping I was SUPER impressed. THANK YOU! I dont post much on...

    front camera mod

Well well... aren't you just a sexy thing! It kind of looks like it does the same thing, but I'm not sure and they don't have all the details on the website like the other fellows did. I put in a call but got no answer yet. We'll know if it's essentially the same thing when they call me...

    front camera mod

Speaking of the NavTV solution installation... W o w. You would think that a plug n play solution would be a little more plug n play-ish... and a little less over the top spendy for a wiring harness.... Not that it might not be well worth the field trip for some, but... W o w .

Bed Mat - To make the bed flat

Oh come on.... ... he said he wanted to mount rails and stuff to it like it was gonna be in a camper or something.... I did my 63 Chevy (oak rails with stainless lock ribs) this way and it was awesome looking and! And it lasted about 3 years before I bunged it up with an engine block I...

Bed Mat - To make the bed flat

1 gal of 2 part epoxy for a partial fill followed by a 1 gal mix with appropriate color another 1/2 gal fine ground rubber for the final. Maybe as low as 1 qt on the rubber... My math says you only need about 1.8 gal total for flush fill in the bed, but i would want that extra 1/4" or so...
