I have never ran pressures that low on anything unless I was off road. Interesting setup. In no way knocking it at all I have just never tried that. Do you run with anything in your bed?
Thanks for the responses. I have had these shocks on in the past and set them on the shelf when they needed a rebuild. Put the rebuilt OE shocks on until they needed a rebuild and now back to the 3.0's. They were rebuilt by Hammer so pretty sure he has that down. I just checked the psi...
I have freshly rebuilt Fox 3.0 shocks, Deaver +1 springs, brand new MT Baja Boss 35/12.5/R17 tires on stock wheels, RPG UCA's, and RPG tie rods. Suspension seems really bouncy going down the road. Hit small bumps and seems to bounce quite a bit. Anyone with 3.0's have a good setting for the...
How do you remove the uni-ball caps to lube them? I got the screws off but the cap won't budge. Tried hitting it with a rubber mallet and no movement. I can't get anything underneath to pry it up and don't want to damage the finish if possible. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated...
madeSICC88, how are you liking the Morimoto's? These are driving me crazy looks wise but seem to function just fine so for now I will live with it. I just spent some unexpected cash on the truck and need to take a break before my financial manager loses her shit! She has a 2007 Infiniti QX56...
This is my passenger side headlight. I don't remember anything hitting me but who knows. Light still works so just looks ugly for now. I'll see how long I can hold out before I jump on some Morimoto's. Dont mind the reflection of that good looking fellow in there...
No bead locks on my 2014 but I just put 35/12.5/17 Yokohama Geolander X/AT's on. So far they seem pretty good. A little louder than the Ridge Grapplers I have on my 20's for the street driving. I bought the truck with about 17K on the clock in 2016 and the K02's were pretty worn then and I...
I want to say yes. Give him a call and ask. I know he has rebuilt Bilstein since he told me that. His main thing is rebuilding shocks for SBS and ATV's.
"Cross posted from Gen 1 since I am a Gen 1 owner" no reason to exclude you Gen 2 folks though
Hi all. I just wanted to share information on a shock rebuilder in the VA/MD region. It's certainly nice to have someone close if you live in the area. I had my OEM 2.5's rebuilt by him and will...
Hi all. I just wanted to share information on a shock rebuilder in the VA/MD region. It's certainly nice to have someone close if you live in the area. I had my OEM 2.5's rebuilt by him and will have my 3.0's and 2.0's done soon. One other member on this forum had some rebuilt from him as...
Cross posting this from General to close this thread out:
Ok folks I am back on the stock wheels and also had my stock shocks rebuilt as well. I decided to go with Yokohama Geolander X-AT tires in 35/12.5/17. So far in my 10 miles of driving today I like them. They have a similar tread design...

Thanks for the comments everyone. No issues with anything else on the truck. I checked underneath, in the wheel well, all the suspension and all is good. Almost like I didn't run anything over at all. I was able to pull over right away so I didn't even run on it that long after it happened...
The tire is completely intact. Not one blemish on it at all. All tires were aired up fully.. That's why I said the planets aligned or something. Weird!
The rim is a SOTA offroad SCAR 6. That is on the inside of the rim. What is strange is I didn't see anyone else swerving behind me after it hit. I also was able to drive by the area just a couple hours later when it was light out and didn't see anything in the road or beside the road. Very...

Well, this picture kind of changes my path on what I will be doing next...I was driving to work the day before yesterday in fog and fairly heavy traffic. I hit something that I didn't even see in the road and my drivers side front tire immediately went...

BEN, not yet since the weather has been pretty terrible here for the last week. I dont want to put my old worn out tires on and then slip slide away. I have not gotten as far as I would like but I got my rebuilt shocks on. Baby steps I know. Just trying to get info as I wait for the weather...
Mods,
How does a prospective business get the opportunity to advertise services on this forum? What is needed from them to get started here? Sorry I didn't know where else to post and since I am a Gen 1 owner I thought I would start here. Thanks
I run the street tires at 38-39 psi. I actually took them down to 36 psi to see if it would help and it didn't. I religiously rotate every 5K so no change from your advice. The tires look great with no cupping or feathering at all. Seems like they would show some weird wear patterns if they...
Rebuilt OEM shocks back on. Truck feels better but not fantastic. Weather is still bad here so didn't want to put the old, worn out OEM tires/wheels back on since I will need some traction in this mess. I am considering a road force balance on my "street" wheel/tire setup while I decide what...
