BRAKE MAINTENANCE MODE in and out, via 2022/GEN3's?

Take pics and post them up. Lots of people will be due for brakes soon on the Gen 3. I always like hearing about jobs before I start them. Let us know the tricks.

BRAKE MAINTENANCE MODE in and out, via 2022/GEN3's?

Are you doing brakes already or just a flush?

    Break-ins through door handles

I'm not convinced about that video just yet. He's already got the car ignition turned on and while the overpriced kill switch is simplistic it will still slow even the best thieves down some. Each vehicle is wired differently also so you have some troubleshooting to do on the spot. Can it be...

    Avoiding theft

Yea you could easily have the Ravelco installed inside of the center console or glove box. They would never even know it was there.

    Avoiding theft

So if I take some spare wire and make that same exact setup and omit the ground, mine should start right up? I'm not an electronics specialist, but I know my basics. I guess something like this could always be kept in a tool box should it be needed but I'm still thinking if the common thief...

Battery issues & Looking for advice before 1PM Mountain Time

Wow thats crazy. Prorated is a dealbreaker for me. I always told all of my friends who just needed regular batteries to go to costco for an interstate battery. This changes things. As far as the quality of the battery, you have some pretty extreme conditions for a battery to survive. Still i...

Battery issues & Looking for advice before 1PM Mountain Time

I’m sorry I just noticed this. Interstate used to only be 36 month. This is 48. This has the better specs too.

Battery issues & Looking for advice before 1PM Mountain Time

I'm pretty sure I listed this battery a while ago as a possibility in an older thread. I was always an Interstate battery person until I realized that the major factor is the 4th year warranty on other similar brands. If they are essentially the same price and same specs, I'd rather have the 4th...

    Avoiding theft

While I do have faith that a good thief can beat any security system (Oceans 11?). From the website: The circuits interrupted by the RAVELCO may vary from application to application. Typically, they would include the electronic fuel or injector pump, the ignition circuit, the starter circuit...

Clunking sound on Gen 3 too

Climb the chain and tell them you will go to ford corporate unless they want to themselves. Its a known issue and while its past the 3/36k its a known defective part per the SSM and I would argue that it needs to be replaced so that you are driving the truck you paid for. Being out of warranty...

    Avoiding theft

The ravelco can be wired to multiple different components in the vehicle. This guy is just showing a video of the locations he already knew about. Any theft device can really be beat including using a flatbed truck. The best bang for the buck I feel was the Ravelco.

    Avoiding theft

This has been beaten to death also and someone beat me to the bingo comment. To the OP you want to install a Ravelco. Can't be beat and the truck would need to be towed to get stolen.

Battery issues & Looking for advice before 1PM Mountain Time

Is it just a slight size difference? The Duracell is actually a little longer than the x2. The Duracell puts up some impressive numbers though and has the same warranty as the x2. I didn't know that.

Clunking sound on Gen 3 too

I’m so happy this thread is helping people get the truck they paid for. Had mine out in Borrego Springs over the weekend. First time with the new fronts. Insane difference.

PPF Buyers Remorse + I'm an idiot = I'm lost

My wheel wells clean up pretty quickly and easily when they get mud in them with the power washer. I've only washed my truck a few times since I got it however.

PPF Buyers Remorse + I'm an idiot = I'm lost

Just thinking out loud here but the bumpers and fender flares are areas that some members want line-x. I believe they make line-x in that gray color also. If I were in this situation, I'd pull the PPF coating myself and then have the parts Line-X instead of buying new or repainting to factory...

A good Jack & Jack stands??

Mine fell off the back of a truck possibly according to an above post in this thread. My only choice was the beast 2 ton to get a good deal which was $425 cash. I originally wanted the Talon. It’s not much smaller but it’s enough lift height. Another good feature of these jacks is taking them...

A good Jack & Jack stands??

I do my own tire rotations which was my main reason for getting the jack. I’ve also had to pull the front tires to install my triple light kit for the fogs.

Clunking sound on Gen 3 too

I wonder if the variations are just updated part numbers on paper but old part numbers behind because they were manufactured.

Clunking sound on Gen 3 too

Don’t waste time. Go back now and tell them immediately that it’s still got the problem. Then get the fronts replaced asap and post here a thank you for how amazing the truck you were supposed to get is.

Battery issues & Looking for advice before 1PM Mountain Time

Yea, I am going to try and get one of these myself. The factory battery has some issues for sure.

A good Jack & Jack stands??

I wouldn't be under any vehicle without jack stands. Just the jack only is a disaster. Any jack no matter the quality can have issues or even slip off.

A good Jack & Jack stands??

Wait what? lol I got mine from a dude on craig's list for like $150 less than 4WheelParts. I had to drive to Montebello to pick it up. Did mine fall off the back of a truck?

A good Jack & Jack stands??

I agree with this. I have the Pro Eagle and its nice they are a local company here in LA. If price is the only factor then HF but for everything else exactly what was said above. Extremely happy with my Pro Eagle. I do have the HF 6 ton.
