Bought the autotec a little over a week ago, got it this week, and installing Monday. After reading a lot on it, seems to be the best bang for the buck.
After doing a cold start yesterday morning and hearing how terrible the rasp and general sound was, I removed it. It had a drone at around 2200 RPM too. Kind of disappointed in it really since it does not sound like their videos at all.
Same. I just installed today and not concrete on how i feel. It sounds better, especially low RPM, but definitely got louder. Im going to let it break in and build up some carbon before i make my mind up. Im very picky and wife may not like it.
I did test cruising speeds 60-85 and its not loud...
Man this thread was a hell of a ride reading start to finish. Glad it's being taken care of and happy you can hopefully rest easy. This couldn't have been a fun time for you.

It increased sound a little bit. I wouldnt say significant, but noticeable. Someone posted a video of the stainless downpipes from SPD and my non-stainless SPD downpipes are definitely not as loud. I do also have turbo adapters just like the guy with stainless downpipes.

SPD released a new resonator delete that has a gen3-like trombone with an H-pipe. I went ahead and ordered it. Hopefully it isnt too loud for cold starts and normal driving or the wife is gonna make me take it off. Videos sound good though.
I asked SPD if there were any other exhaust mods, and...
I’ve got something going on. Sounds like it’s coming from the passenger side floorboard which is where a large heat shield it. The heat shield most sounds fine, but it had been bent to install downpipes so it’s potentially compromised?
