It's a friggin step,I don't see why they are treated as gold plated but I do see the irony. There was a point where people were stealing tailgates, what was that all about?
Fair, personal experience leaves me biased towards the opposite. Service departments have, historically, been ill equipped as far as personnel and management.
I feel like the whole, "We can't find anything wrong with it." statement is always a cop out. I really don't understand why you can't get decent service at a dealership.
IKA, never pulling out is solid advice. But, I have wanted to use it a few times when having a large amount of gear in the back. Then not having a handle to grab isn't much more than inconvenient rather than I need a step.

I've owned my 2019 Race Red Raptor since April and I really enjoy it. Minus the need for a battery tender if it sits for a couple of weeks I've had no issues. I look forward to taking it everywhere I can and looking at everyone builds.
