    It was a short pipe-dream…

I’m sure I’ll enjoy the heck out of it without any of these 1%-probability internet pop stories like flatbeds, repair bill totals and range nightmares. I never bought a vehicle based on an online article with little more purpose but clickbaiting folks into confirming their biases. I surely...

    It was a short pipe-dream…

For the light overlanding and camping I have in mind it more than suffices. I can’t comment on rock-crawling or technical ability but it seems for the 90% masses of light off-roaders it does more than well enough.

Yup - <20min away from a service center. That is, if that company stays afloat over the next few years :-D I don’t mind the experiment though. I can always get back into an ICE if I’m struggling but this isn’t my first EV either so I’m versed in its dealings.

    It was a short pipe-dream…

Well… here I was a few weeks back, determined to buy another Ford Raptor, after my previous 2nd Gen Raptor was replaced in favor of an F250 Tremor. Both vehicles gave me tremendous and unforgettable joy to own and drive. I was shopping around hard, calling and visiting dealers all over the east...

    BUYER BEWARE: 1FTFW1RG8NFC42439

That’s just straight up criminal. Lucky for me I expected this and saved a copy of the original CARFAX.

    BUYER BEWARE: 1FTFW1RG8NFC42439

I mean "terrible" doesn't even begin to describe it in my view... it really seems that NYC-area dealers are absolute sh**, not just LI but also NJC. It's just really hard to acquire a vehicle so far from the city because having to drive there and then all the potential risks involved. Imagine...

    BUYER BEWARE: 1FTFW1RG8NFC42439

i wish… too much money and lobbying determining the path of the US car industry on several key issues including nuisances like the franchise dealer laws, and this one isn’t even anything of importance. As long as dealer lobby groups can buy their way into legislation, I don’t have much hope.

    BUYER BEWARE: 1FTFW1RG8NFC42439

Right?! Isn’t that crazy? I only showed up because she said it was a misunderstanding on the carfax and the photos didn’t show anything - but the entire center console was ripped apart. I wish I had taken pictures. I mean the audacity on not even trying to fix it and advertising the truck at...

    BUYER BEWARE: 1FTFW1RG8NFC42439

I walked out immediately and told them they’re the sleeziest dealer I’ve yet encountered. Not that that made me feel any better. I really wanted an orange Raptor.

    BUYER BEWARE: 1FTFW1RG8NFC42439

I usually don’t take to this measure but what I experienced today at Empire Mazda of Huntington NY was next level. I walked into the dealership to close the deal on a used 2022 Orange Raptor, advertised with 1321 miles on their website and with ok pricing of $77k. The CARFAX stated the vehicle...

    A (weird) 2022 vs 2023 vs 2024 thread

Originally I meant quality assurance (not questions and answers but I assumed it was obvious). However, after your explanation, I would say I should have referred to both QA and QC, since both processes would prevent issues down the line.

    A (weird) 2022 vs 2023 vs 2024 thread

Nah man… you can always refuse delivery if something’s wrong with the truck. And I just needed to double-check my logic.

I don’t think I would agree with that statement. Especially given I know the previous owner.

    A (weird) 2022 vs 2023 vs 2024 thread

I couldn’t wait to announce it so I put it in there already, given all paperwork is already done except taking delivery (which will happen Monday - unless there are issues fingers crossed). I used to have a Gen2 and also an F250 Tremor so am just really excited to get back on those super...

    Ford Raptor Invoice Pricing

You who? For buying used? Aren't you a little too angry about something none of us can really control?

That's what I'll do unless I recognize serious issues during pickup. $73k, was $83k MSRP. About $4k above KBB trade-in value.

    A (weird) 2022 vs 2023 vs 2024 thread

Well there's also some subjective factors I like about that 22' - color, interior, pre-MY24 looks. I also realized after I posted this that based on my own comment about off road use, I don't really need that torsen anyway. I think the biggest argument though is I just want to drive one now...

    A (weird) 2022 vs 2023 vs 2024 thread

Just to make sure I don’t do something stupid, is my below perception of Gen3 still accurate? MY2022 - Most well equipped/complete but lots of Q&A issues and reports MY2023 - Likely less Q&A issues than 2022 but also painfully missing some core features (ie Torsen, …) MY2024 - Probably least...

    Ford Raptor Invoice Pricing

Well… was gonna go new 2024, then new 2023 and ultimately find myself in a mildly used 2022 (at least no deletions)

    Ford Raptor Invoice Pricing

I’m back in market for a new raptor, after a long pause since selling my 2nd Gen. what’s the latest here? Any forum vendors offering proper pricing on these when custom ordering? Any good dealers that offer fair deals on in-stock? Went through 10 pages of this thread and all I see is complaints…

torn between Raptor vs F250 Diesel/Tremor

Yeah I'm totally emotionally biased about this anyway because I love my Super Duty Tremor with the 7.3L so much. It's just a flat out super amazing truck. So is the engine. But it's all subjective. One thing I trust in, no matter the vehicle, is that within Ford specified ranges, this thing will...

torn between Raptor vs F250 Diesel/Tremor

To be fair: I haven't towed for such extended times in these environments. But how does this compare to the TFL towing tests with the 7.3L at the Ike Gauntlet? Seems it's doing a marvelous job there too.

torn between Raptor vs F250 Diesel/Tremor

Plenty of online stuff available getting you those answers. From personal experience, eight hours of straight towing did not bring the trans temp over 220 and the coolant over 200 for me. The 7.3L V8 is absolutely insanely great. Sure, not as good mpg as Diesel, but plenty enough power to tow...

    D-Day finally nears......

Can’t tell if you’re serious or joking. Can’t tell if @911 Crazy is real or just a really elaborate Sasquatch scheme with too much time at hand (well, not anymore apparently).

    D-Day finally nears......

Hmm... I’ve been pondering but there’s never actually been any confirmation anywhere on this forum that @911 Crazy : A) Picked up his truck B) Confirms it’s actually him & his truck This thread here was supposed to be his... wait, “I’m taking delivery thread”. But somehow, even he himself did...
