Had the same experience ... went to a local dealer yesterday (not where I bought my 23) and they didn't know anything about it. (And yes.... I need to change my pic to the new truck!!)
I didn't get that from them.....but now you're making me wish I would have checked the miles on the truck before I left her! Although with Ford Pass .....I just did!
Supposed to go in Wednesday. Last I heard from Ford Customer Care was a possible delay on intake gaskets....Its pretty amazing as they are 'driving the dealer and following up with me.
Update on this.. I put a call into Ford Care and they returned my call a couple of days later. As this situation was escalated, they have responded with paying for 100% of the Cam Phaser replacement. Super happy with Ford for this... Saved me over $3k>>> :banana-mario:
Unfortunately no extended warranty... so its on me. Is what it is... Was planning on buying a new one until this shortage took affect.... And dealers went nuts with the over invoice BS.
Appreciate the reply and agree that is could be my fault if I had the issue prior to the Feb date..... but never had an issue with the Cam Phasers until this last month...if its not broken... don't fix it. As well... never got the recall letter....Only heard about it on here - ONCE I HEARD THE...
Okay - just had the luxury in the last month or so of my Cam Phaser starting to make the noise at start up. So took the truck in early this week for them to perform the 21B10 reflash. As I am talking to the service advisor - he informs me that this fixes it 9 out of 10 times (doubtful) - but...
Oh.. I would take a Coyote or an Aluminator in a Raptor all day long. Don't get me wrong, love my Ecoboost.. but to play with one of those in the Truck would be fun... and not sure the weight would kill it's performance.
And agree with you vs the assRAM... They need to do a quality test on...
Can't say enough about the Goosetuned add on. Truck is a different animal now. Great to deal with and ease of use is awesome. Mine is a daily driver and have pulled a ton more fuel economy out of it as well as performance.
Okay.. not really. But have a Bed Rug and now the golf clubs and anything else in the back is getting "damp" - Okay.. wet. Seeing some water dampness in the bed in the rug.. trying to figure it out. Have a XCeed (Extang) bed cover.. it looks like there is water still on the gasket.. but not...
I second your thoughts on the tune from Winfield. Been around the tuning deal for quite some time. His responsiveness and actual tunes are great. I am only using the Stage 1 with TCM and the truck is smooth and alive which is all I needed. May do the intercooler and up to the Stage 2 in the...
I did contact them.. as I need to go before November - this below is from Tommy at Ford Perf:
We have added several classes and more will be added. You will still have to attend the program within 1 year of your delivery date.
I did use the fuse tap method.. easy to do. Specialty sent me a tap wire and instructions to do it under the passenger side fuse box. Biggest PITA was getting to the jumper wires.....I originally hooked it up to a switch.. but felt that was going to be dumb... like the ignition on method better.
Got a gift from the family for my birthday. Me and the boy got to install over the weekend. Turned out good. Rigid Radiance Scene - purchased from Specialty Performance Parts (Thanks a bunch!). Great Bracket, Fast shipping!!
Awesome.. welcome.. bought mine late last year from Varsity. Just installed Rigid Radiance Scene lights... let me know how the MPT tune goes.... Doing my research on which tuner to get...but haven't gotten serious yet.
