This is normal for Ford.. check the engine compartment for rubber bands, should find at least one. Owned 2 Gen 2's and one gen 3, all had random bits of tape here and there and lots of rubber bands.

My 22 had the rattle, dealer replaced the muffler and ironically it was the same day as the bulletin was released. Rattle never returned with the new muffler.

Thats "mottling" Ford seems to have perfected this defect its caused by the paint gun running dry or too wet. My 22 Iconic had the same issue on the tops of the rear fenders and lower quarter. Only way to fix it is to repaint. Check all the panels under different light sources and shade...
