I agree with others that all of our offroad "needs" vary. We find that as a couple we dont enjoy trails rated more than a 2, and I personally avoid anything over a 4. That said we probably have around 1-2k miles offroad including Mojave and Bradshaw Trails and lots of weekends around Big Bear...

Love my 2018. Such a capable truck. Drove to the mountains last weekend, just to drive in a blizzard, camped up there three weeks ago just to go off road and mudding. It'll be 4-5 years old with 60k on the clock when these come to availability, if they really become available to the common man...
4A or weather (not sure the difference) for California mountain (wet) snow. Used 4L and diff lock once when I sank the truck in 3.5' deep snow, and blasted the thing out like something in the movies. Thanks for the traction control tip though, i'll give it a try next time i get the chance.
First of all, Welcome and You Cant Lose! Personally, I had the choice between 2018 and 2019 802a's, purchasing in December of 2018. Test drive both with wife and kids in car. Everyone agreed the 2018 rode softer (with what we later learned to have 80 lbs of tire pressure!!) and was more...
I pull a 6k wakesurf boat (TIGE) beautifully up mountain roads and across the desert on my 2018. I did begin to feel uncomfortable with the sag, so in preparation for a (1400 mile) Lake Powell trip last sumer I purchased and installed SUMO SPRINGS which acted like a taller bumpstop. The ride...
I had a steel belt shift on a tire once, it heated up and ultimately blew out. My only evidence was watching the pressure spike, but thinking it was an anomoly. Maybe, if the above caliper things seem to check out, you rotate the tire and see if the problem moves with the tire, or stays with...
6k wakeboat from Lake Havasu to Orange County at 80-90mph across I-40 in 114 degree heat - No problem. Crazy. Yep rear spring sag, but the KO-2 are so wide that the rig is stable.
The sumo springs slapping made the ride suck so bad my wife made me get out of the car and remove them mid trip...
I'm at 25,000 miles now on y 2018 and will be looking for tires shortly. I'd love to do that install. Can I use stock rims with the
37" x 12.5" x 17" BFG KO2's?
3 sons (2 over 6 feet), wife and dog went 4k miles around southwest this summer in a SCREW. Didn't try Moab's Hells Revenge (wife shut down), but went other trails and sure loved the luxury, room and comfort when combined with off-road capibility. Pulled a small trailer around most of it, but...
Did this to keep the truck free for offroading and day trips. The trailer was a christmas present for my wife so she has an emotional stake in the rig. Besides Indian Guides, we did 3k miles this summer around the southwest with our three boys. (Grand Canyon, Moab and the big 5 Utah State...
Southern California. Wife loves to drive the Raptor, and will choose it over the other cars. We do consider it our "RV" meaning that generally it is saved for weekends and fun. It does not fit (length, not height) in our suburban 20' garage. We assume we're going to park "out" a bit. Small price...
looks awesome! Question - Concerned that location light bar will block front camera, which I actually do use! Could you give us a photo from the interior screen so we can see it is not or at least minimally blocked?
