2019 - Just turned over 35k. Not a single issue. I change the oil every 5k and filter every 10. I changed the air filter at 25 after going through a massive dust storm in Idaho.
I love this guy for his content but, like @FordTechOne has said, he's heavily modified this truck and then beats the piss out of it regularly. I don't know what other outcome you'd expect from this.
I don't think it's dirt or uneven torque (at least with the bolts). Mine got hella squeaky in the summer as they got loaded up with dust and dirt so I drooped the rear a few times, loosened the bolts, and pressure washed between leafs a few times to help get rid of it. Doing that had me...
I don't know if it makes you feel any better but I occasionally get the same noise with my Icon springs. Never had the noise before the install and I sometimes get it now. If I'm pulling out of my driveway and the truck articulates over the lip, I'll almost always get a pop/click/clunk sound...
I'm convinced that the people that dog on KO2's also hoon the piss out of their car. I've had a few sets on KO2's on a couple different cars and I've never had a problem with them in dry, wet, or snow. They're definitely not an "all-season" or "snow" tire but they've been great to me and were...
He's having a lot of issues, sure, but to be fair to the truck, he also hammers the shit outta that thing. You can say whatever you want about the Raptor and what it was built to take but I promise you that no "general production" vehicle is going to ever be built to take that kind of abuse over...
I think it's going to all depend on how you "offroad" or "overland". If you're going on pretty well-defined trails, I think it would be fine. Hell, the boys at RVs of America drug all of the Black Series campers through all kinds of terrain without issue.
So again, this gets me to the same place as before. Everyone likes to talk about the "legality" of it and how "insurance companies will have a field day" but is there any evidence for this? Has this ever been adjudicated? Like you said, couldn't you just show that with upgraded springs, you've...
I'm 100% sure that mine is tied to low battery. The only time I've ever had mine do this is when my low-voltage disconnect has been tripped on my fridge. At that point, I don't know what the voltage is on the battery but it's low enough that the fridge shut off but still high enough to start the...
Mobil 1 every 5k. I think I'm using whatever their "truck" formulation of 5w30 is
Mobil 1 Filter every 10k.
Just changed my air filter at 25k.
I'll also pile on the Fumoto drain train. Totally worth it.
My concern about those little trailers is that someone would just take it if I left it parked somewhere ...
I suppose they could do that with anything but it seems easier when it's so small and light.
I also hesitate to spend so much money on something I have to setup in the rain and snow ...
I don't know that I really have any relationship with my dealer. I got it from Evergreen and I don't think I'd ever buy another car from them again. I went with them only because they were the only place I could find in a multi-state radius that had what I was looking for (a fully optioned...
