Swapped 2/1 leaf spring with Ford 3/1 and got 2.5" lift

Here's the after photo. It looks just like stock, which I like. Ground to fender flare is 42" Front measurement is 39" which gives me some leeway to carry a payload and keep an even rake. U bolts were new from ford parts giant for about $60+S/H. Part: 9L3Z-5705-A I reused the old nuts but had a...

    Rear Leaf Springs expected life

If you're wondering how long the stock springs last, my left pack cracked at around 10 years and 160k miles. This is with average to above average rust and towing over stock capacity (16ft cargo trailer) about 1500 miles with helper springs. I loaded a pallet of roofing shingles with the...

    Affordable suspension upgrades

Did you ever go with the suspension mods? The 2/1 springs were really soft. My truck is rusty, so I may have cracked them when I loaded a pallet of shingles in the truck bed. I did the 3/1 ford leaf pack + Timbren SES and feel like I need to remove the stock spacers. The ride is stiffer, but...

HELP! GEN 1 Shock Part Numbers

I just received mine. I been procrastinating for a long time and got tired of my rusty Raptor bouncing everywhere. I almost went with Bilstein 5100 or Forged Offroad, but I had a #YOLO moment and went with stock replacements. I noticed the price hack on Rock Auto alt part numbers and went...

Swapped 2/1 leaf spring with Ford 3/1 and got 2.5" lift

I saw a lot of guys doing the Deaver spring mods. Man those are expensive. I have a rusty raptor and went with the cheaper set of 3/1 springs for like $200 per side. It's rated at 1900 lbs. Rock Auto part number is 431783. I didn't like the height much though. It's too high for daily use...

    Uncomfortable Recaro seats

This is always a problem. I'm in the 2010, and I just hate the seat. I love my Corvette seat, and I dream about the day I finally install a Corvette seat in the Ford. Bottom line is everyone is different, and you just have to find the right seat for you. Some combination of padding and shims...

Wipe it clean and see if it comes back, indicating the leak is still present. Check fluids to see what's low.

    Bulb hanging behind front bumper

They must have not been reinstalled when I calibrated the headlights. Or maybe the aftermarket lights I have don't include a marker slot. I'll check in the morning.

    Bulb hanging behind front bumper

I have a 2010 Super Cab, and there are two bulbous things hanging below the front bumper, near the bumper vents. What are these?
