    Most people don"t know that oil doesent wear out, it gets contaminated. Thats why we have a oil filter, andwhen the filter gets full of particales we need to change it and the oil.

    I have a 2011 Raptor and just this year I replaced all of them. Just search the internet you can find all of them for around $50 and they are LED.

    Another Oil Thread

    You have 2 turbro's on that engine. If you changed oil at 500 mi it would look the same (Black). All tubro engines will make the oil black in just a few miles. I have that engine in my Navagtor and the mechanic said that is normal for any turbo engine.

    Nice truck. I am from central Nebraska (St. Paul) and have a 2011 Raptor. Love it and I wouldn't trade it for any of the new Raptors with the twin hair dryers and only 6 cylenders. You are going to love it.

    I don't know why Ford put that stop and start in a Raptor or even a twin hair dryer V6 in them. They need to go back to the 6.2 L V8 and a decent trany.
