I had amp steps on another truck and really liked them, but the Raptor is 6" wider then a standard F-150 and I like the protection the stock steps give for door dings in parking lots. Good looking truck enjoy it.
I really like my step and the chances of finding one on Ebay and in your color are slim. Gen 2 looks better on the outside Gen 3 looks better on the inside.
Your posts are such a welcome sight from the hundreds of posts of when is my Raptor going to be built, when is my Raptor going to get to the dealer, and my dealer wants $$$$ ADM. It sure will be nice when things calm down and we can get back to the normal posts.
When I took delivery of my new 2019 Raptor I had shopped the Ford ESP plan for 84 months 100,000 miles and the best price I found online was $1,400. The finance guy started telling me that they had a special price for first responders and said he could let me have it for $2,000. I told him that...
In my area Southern California this week they had a cat theft suspect have the car fall off the jack and crush him to death. Too bad this doesn't happen more often it makes it so easy to locate the suspect.
In 2019 I paid sticker for a new 802a in California and everyone was saying California prices are crazy. This 2020 was probably $64,000 to $65,000 new. How things change. I hope the 2nd gens continue to hold their value when the gen3 hits dealers.
I have read where people on this site say that all Raptors are 50 state legal. Why does my factory sticker have under options California Emissions System No Charge. Some out of state vehicle have this and others don't.
My daughter bought a new 2014 Ford Edge Sport in 2015. The car had a problem where all the dash warning lights would start flashing and the car would go into limp mode. Turn it off start it up problem gone. Happened 4 times they bought it back under lemon law with a lemon law attorney involved...
I have bought out of state (not a Raptor) and I had to pay the California sales tax and registration at DMV, I had to get a California smog check and because it's a commercial vehicle I had to get it weighed. Most dealers in California say 10% for tax, license, and doc fee. So a $60,000 sale...
I had a friend who found a mustang on a lot brand new 3 years old and his pre approved bank loan didn't honor the rate and loan term because they didn't consider it a new vehicle.
They get additional money back from Ford if they hit a certain number of vehicles. It's true you can get a better deal at the end of the month because they are trying to hit a number and are willing to cut profit to make a deal.
