    Disable auto headlamps

I’ve always put electric tape over the photo light sensor on the center of the dash so the lights are always on. Technically, they are no longer auto that way. Not sure if that helps.

    E.B. tailpipes on an r...

I like the pipes coming out back being visible. Today, no exhaust tips = EV… definitely not trying to replicate that look.

    Bed/Tonneau Cover

I’ve had the Bak MX4 on my Raptor, and decided to try the X4S on my TRX. I personally think the MX4 is better looking (it’s a shiny finish opposed to the matte X4S) and seems more heavy duty then the X4S. I wanted to try something different, but should have stuck with what I knew I liked.

    24R hp

The fact that the R will continue production longer than the TRX (or so it seems) will win Ford a decent amount of TRX owners who dumped their V6 Raptors in the last 3 years back. RAM is sticking the TT I6 into the next so called TRX they appropriately named the RHO (Removed Hellcat Option)...

    R vs HummerEV

If the Hummer had GM’s 6.2 Supercharged V8 from the Escalade V, it would be badass truck in my opinion.

Does the 24 actually have more HP, or did I miss something?

RAM 1500 TRX dead after MY2024

That’s a good question, and one I hope to put off for a long time since thinking of the death of S/C V8’s is a depressing thought. I used to always like Ford trucks, but I do love my TRX way more then just the V8 that made me get it in the first place. It would be a tough choice, and...

RAM 1500 TRX dead after MY2024

What makes you think that? I went from a 19 Raptor to a 23 TRX (because of the Hellcat and I paid $11k under MSRP) but have no interest in going to a Raptor R unless it’s price would be at/below MSRP, something I don’t think will ever happen. After having a TRX, the V6 Raptor is completely out...

Stealth Black Raptor R initial thoughts

I agree with you 100% I had a 2019 Raptor with a stage 2 Goosetune and TCM tune that ran like a raped ape. I switched to a new TRX and was extremely disappointed in the sluggish feel, until I put a Banks pedal monster in it. The TRX just keeps pulling all the way to red line, unlike the EB...

    Gen 1 to Raptor R

I say this all the time! Another perk that 99% of the motoring public doesn’t get is, expensive/fun vehicles depreciate far less then the Toyota Camry’s over time, so the cost of ownership isn’t nearly what it seems from the outside perspective.

    Don't hate me for asking

Define the use of “full capacity” because I go WOT in my TRX nearly every time I drive it. And no, it’s not a rental, and I’m far from being 16 yrs old.

    Don't hate me for asking

G3 37 will feel much slower than a Goosetuned truck on 35’s. A V6 37 is now the slowest Raptor one can get.

    Don't hate me for asking

I sold my G2 and got a brand new loaded TRX for $97k out the door. A $30k increase from the original purchase price of my G2 Raptor.

    Don't hate me for asking

I don’t regret spending the extra $30k for that straight line acceleration, and (mostly) exhaust sound for a second.

    Don't hate me for asking

I don’t know what the MSRP would have been, but obviously it would be higher. I do think that Ford would have no problem selling every single hypothetical V8 Raptor they could produce. 99% of Raptor and TRX buyers are buying these trucks because we want them. You’re right that we don’t “need”...

    Don't hate me for asking

TRX back to a regular V6 (again, I hate having to differentiate) Raptor, or to the R? I personally would never consider ditching the Hellcat for a TT V6 now that I’ve had both. To be perfectly honest, my G2 was stage 2 Goosetuned and an absolute blast to drive. I would even admit that the...

    Don't hate me for asking

I got my 23 TRX for $97k out the door, and its MSRP was $104k. Is it a lot of money? Absolutely. My previous truck was a 19 Raptor that I paid under $70k for new. A $30k (or an average normal person vehicle) increase because I couldn’t stand driving the V6 Raptor and its godawful exhaust sound...

    Long road trip

I took my Raptor (before I sold it) on a 18hr road trip and can say it was the most comfortable vehicle I could have ever wanted for such a task, 3 adult passengers confirmed my thoughts btw. Definitely take your R.

What did you do to your Raptor today? (Gen2)

Sold the G2 Raptor this week to make room for the incoming TRX (not the one on the photo, but a blue one)

Headlights going from "Auto" to "On" by themselves.

I had my light sensor covered with electrical tape and switch set to auto, so headlights would be on all the time. Just a thought to try that.

New R with 4k miles i salvage yard here in AZ

Passenger airbag would only deploy if there is an occupant in that seat. Otherwise, it’s a waste (insurance money) of an airbag.

Raptor R vs TRX vs Rivian

The school bus edition? Hard pass for me. I’m soon taking delivery of my blue 23 TRX for $10k under MSRP, so paying sticker or over for the ugliest version of a TRX possible (popular consensus as well as my own) is incomprehensible to me.

GEN 2 Using the engine brake

When getting off the highway, or slowing downhill, I almost always downshift. At 30k miles, my brake pads/rotors are like new still.

Interesting High Mile (relatively speaking) Raptor R

Could it have been a press vehicle? In which case, it’s seen worse abuse than the rental cars I’ve driven in my teenage years.
