I never thought about that. My motorcycle has magnesium wheels which are strong and light. I have not seen any magnesium wheels for the Raptor. I guess they would be cost prohibitive?
I am one of the few that feels it brakes really well stock. It seems to brake much quicker and more effortless than my XLT I traded in. I felt the XLT brakes were great but Raptor feels even better.
I love the race red but sometimes take clients to lunch so went with a more subtle magnetic as the Raptor is pretty intense already.

I coated mine with Amsoil HDMP the same week I bought it. Stuff works great. I used to spend a half hour hosing down the undercarriage everytime I got back from the beach and it still had rust. With my new truck I never hose it off after the beach and it looks like brand new underneath.
i just replaced my stock tires with 325/60r20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. The listed heights say the new tires are 1 inch taller but in reality they are a solid 2 inches taller. After installing them I downloaded a GPS app for my phone to see how much my speedo is off now. It is exactly correct...
Ditto. Just did mine 2 days after buying it. I go on the beach often and wanted protection from the salt. HDMP is great. Easy to use and gives a great protective coating and looks as good or better than without it.
Yes rotating mass is significant but not an ounce or two vs 100 pound wheel. Plus the weight is more significant the further out on the rotation (tire then wheel then lugs)
If you got the dough and want the cool factor go for it but you cannot validate the weight argument
I am with you. You can take a leak before driving and save more weight. $515 for lug nuts would be the most expensive way possible to save weight. I could not imagine spending that kind of money on lug nuts

Just got home from having eibachs and Icon setting 1 installed on my 2019. I measured 7.5 wheel gap up front and ended with 9.2. Got exactly 1.7 as advertised. The rear went from 9.5 to 10.7 so just a little over the 1 inch advertised.
