The key pad is broken on my truck again. First time it was under warranty. This time it’s on me. $140 for the part from the dealer or much less on-line but it requires the entire door to be disassembled and a lot of luck with the right retaining pins. Several folks have just replaced the trim...
I highly recommend looking into a load distributing hitch. With as loose as our suspension is, a little bit of weight shift while breaking can get very sporty very quick. Weight distribution hitches keep the raptor very level.
I bought my gen2 from MAS. Great deal exactly what I wanted. If I didn’t live my truck so much I would do it again. They beat anything a dealer could do by several thousand and no taxes in my state for overseas sales. I essentially saved more that $12K from MSRP. And back the. You couldn’t find...
I ordered my ‘18 in March and it was delivered in September. I never heard of the Raptor Assault course and never received any literature/letter about the course. I was reading an article that said every Raptor purchase included a trip to the course the next summer. I googled the course and...
Was just about to suggest this. Pulling up and out is much more effective. If the roots get clingy, reduce the tension and cut them with an ax or a chainsaw you don’t like.
I’ve been reading the posts for two years and have seen all the DIY fixes, but no one has posted pictures of the dealership fix. I dropped my truck off a couple of weeks ago, and was given a loaner while the dealer fixed the A/C leak and the door lock issue. (Yes we have freezing in the morning...
In order to set the pre-load on the weight distribution, I jack the truck attached to the trailer tongue about 9”-12” up then set the pretension and lower the trailer tongue/rear of truck back down. That way the weaight of the trailer tongue is distributed toward the front of the truck.

Tongue Weight - 600 lbs

WDH with a sway bar I bought on marketplace.
I’ve pulled it from Missouri to North Carolina through the mountains. Pulled it through all the back country...
Ask your dealer who they use for PDR. It’s aluminum...so make sure the PDR guy knows.
As far as insurance, the club (insurance) might pay for it with a police report. You could also peer pressure the golfer into paying for it, but he really isn’t on the hook, unless your state is different.
The truck has to be powered up... as in running or the lights on to put power to the trailer. I found The lights on the truck need to be on not on auto to push power through the 7 pin. You can add a battery and charger to the trailer if you need power while the truck isn’t running.
An early 90s Cherokee. Or anything made around the year you got you license. If I weren’t driving the raptor my car would be older than I am or something that was cool in high school. Vehicles should be fun, not for saving/making money.
Check out “Wet Okole” seat covers. They are neoprene and about as high quality as you can get. Watch the videos to install them. I’ve had them for years on my Jeep and in my wife’s Acadia. Great for outdoor sports and sand mud and water. They protect the seats really well too. Buy the direct and...
Disclaimer: not a professional their but I did take a few classes on unlocking and starting things that you don’t have the keys to.
People like to talk about Ford’s poor door lock design. Truth is they are the most common vehicle on the road. So anyone that wants to increase their chance of...
Just a crazy idea, but you could run the fridge off an external inverter connected to a lithium battery. Charge the battery with a tender hard wired to your truck’s inverter. This keeps the system separate and won’t leave you stranded.
Installed the retrax xr and love it. Only leaks from a car wash and it’s through the tailgate gaps. There is a lot of daylight that comes through the tailgate even when the ford weather stripping is installed. I love the ability to add tie downs and rack above the bed.
That’s how I ordered my ‘18. Ordered from a dealer in person and asked for delivery to Florida. I would up moving prior to delivery and redirected the delivery to a Missouri dealer. everyone was cool when I explained why. The dealer that sold the car got their piece and the dealer I received it...
I have been looking for that thread for a while but the search isn’t finding it.
My dealer simply dabbed some touch up paint on there. I told the service manager that other trucks were having the problem and required new protective film and possibly adjusting the bumper ends. is there a service...
I have this.

it’s excellent. Seats look new. I have two young kids in seats and a large boxer that occupy my back seat. It’s been on the back seat since the day I brought the truck home. The company is great to deal with too.
Do you have the tailgate assist? Likely the shop misrouted the wire loom and the pistol and arm hit it. Easy fix to move or pull away with with a zip tie.
