From the forum posts here, it looks like the transmission issues happen early in terms of mileage. So I don’t think the issues are fluid related. Unless a trend emerges involving fluid related issues, I will stick to the standard maintenance schedule.
I get it. I trade frequently also (37 vehicles owned in 35 years). I still own three of them. I have only traded down once due to priorities, but I know it can happen.
I have owned my 2019 stock 802A truck less than two months and got the update screen about a month ago. I tried various techniques for about a week to do the update via WIFI with no success. I completed the update via USB and the update screen went away.
I didn’t order my truck, but it came with the factory spray-in liner. After having it a few months now, I can say I wouldn’t recommend ordering the factory spray-in as LineX is thicker and grips better. The factory spray-in is “good enough” and I won’t upgrade until it fails. As I got $2500...
I was recently offered a buyback or replacement from FCA. For me, a buyback was the better option. There is no price negotiation with a replacement, even if local dealers are offering discounts or if the manufacturer is offering rebates to the public. It is a direct MSRP to MSRP exchange with...
It was one of the steps while uploading the file to the USB. I am on my phone with no access to my Mac that I used for the upload so I can’t remember the exact issue. I do remember I erased and formatted the USB, downloaded the file again, unzipped, moved the .exe file out of the folder but...
I lemoned a 2018 Wrangler JLU to get the Raptor. The Gladiator is based on the same platform. I recommend going over to the JL forums and read about all of the issues they are having. Also, the factory brags about how many they can make in a shift, setting records. IMHO, they are putting...
I had a 2007 and a 2017 Power Wagon. They are great trucks but not nearly as fun to drive on the road as the Raptor. I can’t say anything about off-road as I haven’t had any off-road fun in the Raptor yet. I have only had it a little over a month.
EVs are far from green due to the carbon footprint created by the manufacture and disposal of the batteries. However, your information about coal is outdated. See excerpt from this article...
I am a 100% disabled veteran with handicapped plates so it doesn’t personally affect me. But I agree they shouldn’t get preferential parking. I tell myself the EV spots are closer to the building because that is where the electricity is. It would cost more to run conduit further and cut up...
Yes, but you know the deal: Manufacturers will keep coming up with minor upgrades to keep you coming back. The quest for “latest/greatest” is never ending and it gets damn expensive (speaking from experience).
I actually prefer a sixth seat to center console. I have a family of five and frequently we have an additional friend or family member. Almost all of my previous trucks had a sixth seat that folded down. I know the F-150 has option, but I suspect it would be costly.
The 360 view doesn’t change with the mirrors pulled in. The cameras must be on the part that doesn’t rotate. The cameras don’t help when the tolerances are tight though. I found out last week when I was testing how hard it was to pull into my garage that is 6” wider than the truck.
I have owned 20 new vehicles over the years. You both have to remember that manufacturers have to compromise somewhere to meet a price point. If they attempt to perfect every aspect of vehicle, so few people could/would buy it and they are in business to make money. I am perfectly happy with...
