I had some minor body work done to my '18 (with my full knowledge) and the body shop told me the same thing. Something like under $2k worth of damage did not need to be disclosed and they said it was fairly common. They had a GT350 there getting a new bumper due to shipping damage and said that...
I've used Detail Boss, LSN Auto Detailing, and Windows and Wheels. Good results from all of them, but who you choose will depend on your budget.

I had Ceramic Pro light (aka bronze package) applied to my '18. It's very glossy and slick, more so than CQuartz Finest that I had applied to my last Raptor.
From a maintenance standpoint, Ceramic Pro appears to resist most chemicals. However, I didn't notice much of a difference with...
I had a similar experience with hood stripes on my 18 (i.e. Ford denied warranty claim on damaged decals). Keep in mind, Ford denies claims, not the dealer.
I had a detailer remove them and moved on. Happier without them anyway. Good luck!

I tried buying from Team Ford, but they wanted $500 deposit to enter a lottery for an allocation if you were a new customer. Deposit was refundable, but no guarantee on an allocation.

I had a similar issue in my 2010 after 70k miles on the original shocks. The truck was rough over pot holes and the street ride was noticeably worse. I always assumed it was the shocks, but I planned on trading it in and never bothered fixing it. Glad I didn't pay for a rebuild from the sounds...
I'd shop around and wouldn't pay more than $1k for correction/coating (unless your truck is already swirled out).
I had CQuartz Finest applied to my 2010. After 3 years, the finish was pretty dull and in desperate need of a polish. Although most manufactures claim coatings are permanent, I'm...
If you insist on using an automatic wash, call around and find one that fits a dually. If a dually can get through it, so can your Raptor.
If you don't want to do a full hand wash at home, look into rinseless washing. I was a bit hesitant at first when I tried it, but it works (assuming you...
Are the G1 hood graphics the same faux carbon fiber look? My G1 didn't have decals, so can't really speak to that.
Either way, my point isn't about the look (which I liked), but that Ford uses poor quality vinyl and wouldn't warranty it in my case.
Update
Just wanted to share for future users, the spots began to fade on their own, but I decided to have the decals removed anyway. The quality of the OEM decals is really poor (especially for $900!). After seeing them removed, I'd definitely recommend going with an aftermarket solutions as...
Thanks. I'm probably just going to remove them and consider it an expensive lesson on why not to have vinyl decals. I like the look, but the upkeep seems not worth the hassle.

Thanks for the suggestions. I watched another Adam's video and did try trim dressing. I also tried diluted vinegar, IPA, and a paint safe APC on a test spot. No change, but the trim dressing did hide it except in direct sun.
Is a polish worth trying? I have Megs ultimate polish, but not...
Just wanted to share my experience with the hood stripes on my '18 Magnetic Raptor. After 3 months and 2500 miles, I have spotting in both stripes that cannot be removed. This vehicle has been hand washed weekly and the decals are still shot. On top of that, Ford denied replacement under...
Don't believe everything a sales guy tells you. :) You can easily find a truck at $5k over here in Phoenix. MSRP or $1-2k over is possible if you negotiate hard, but it took me a year to find mine. Avoid San Tan Ford and Peoria though. Neither will negotiate much and they both have $15k mark...
After cleaning them well, they appear to be a matte/satin finish so I decided not to risk it. Although, the barrel does appear to be the same finish, so maybe I'll clean those up and give it a try.
