I have been running the 93oct Stage 2 Cobb tune with the OEM+ TCM tuning for a few weeks and it has been a great experience so far. I like it better than the the MPT PR-X 93 tune I had been running for the prior 6,000+ miles. Haven't tried the Cobb Sport TCM tune yet.
FWIW ... I know the JLT doesn't catch 100%, however I installed one at ~500mi and then a Whipple IC at ~9000mi and I didn't notice any oil in my intercooler.
Glad I have it and it is only a 10-15 minute job to swap it back to factory for warranty concerns.
Not sure if it is possible with your platform but it would be nice if you could enable/disable it easily using your programmer.
If not, I would prefer keeping skip-shift but adjust the threshold so that it only operates is very light throttle applications, such as would be encountered in city...
I looked into the CP-E intercooler a few weeks ago. They advertise a 'bolt-in design', however the instructions they sent me are missing details about removing the stock shutters, etc. When I asked about that part they told me that their truck already had all that removed & that's why it's not...
Nice to know they have a good rep in the Focus world.
They responded quickly to my request for installation instructions. Given the depth of the cooler is 7" (2.5" thicker than Whipple's) I figured the lower shutters would have to go, which they confirmed to me vie email. Their install...
I've been following this thread closely and came across the following intercooler in my research: https://cp-e.com/shop/product/cp-e-∆core-ford-f-150-raptor-fmic-front-mount-intercooler/
Any feedback on this product/company?
I have the JB4 and ran it for several weeks on Map 3 before deciding to move up to a tune. Nice power adder and worthwhile mod if you want to avoid warranty concerns related to a custom tune.
I have experienced that a few times as well with my MPT tune. Quite unsettling. I believe it is what Cobb referred to that as "RPM-flaring between gears" in post #47 in the "COBB Stage 1 First Impressions on 2019" thread. I am keeping an eye on the Cobb TCM tuning project, because I don't...
Hard to say ... i moved the and then the full force of summer hit here in Houston. Right now I see from the mid 120's to low 130's manifold charge temps once the truck gets hot. Inlet air temps have been 100-115.
I've been implementing a similar conservative plan as well. I have the MPT tune in place and have the Swarfworks license place relocation bracket installed. I have been monitoring my air temps while deciding on an intercooler. I am leaning towards a Mishimoto or Whipple. I have been wanting...
It dropped by 0.8-1.0 (hand-calculated ~17.1 stock to ~16.2 tuned). I do drive a little more aggressively than when stock, however. Also I drive some extended time on twisty sub-50 MPH roads and with the tune the transmission will hold a lower gear than stock when cruising.
No experience with 5star, but I've been running the MPT 93 Octane PR-X and Performance Tow tunes for about the last 2 months here in Houston. My Raptor is my daily driver, so I've put several thousand consecutive miles on each tune in "Normal" mode. The performance tow is awesome, it just...
I've got a 2019 Oxford White as well. I installed an MPT tune this week and it really wakes the truck up. The tuned Raptor reminds me of a loaner X5 with the V8TT we got once when my wife's ride was in for service.
I prefer analog and have used & like these gauges:

Tries a portable inflator on on my last truck & it took forever.
I got 5k off msrp a few weeks ago, but it took some shopping. Most of the big dealers in the Houston area still are trying to mark up 19s by 5-10k over msrp.
I saw the posted ad and went to Doggett Ford and got the white one a couple weeks ago. They actually eventually gave me 5K off MSRP. Overall a good experience. The people at Tomball Ford were jerking me around.
