    Did It — 37”

I love this look even more than I thought I would. The white letters are sick. Tires ride like new.

    Did It — 37”

I'm stoked. Mine are going on today. I hope you get a ton of miles out of them. My KO2's were 6 ply and they lasted a good 40K. Good not great. The new ones are 8 ply.

    Did It — 37”

This post convinced me to do the same. I have the Gen 2 shocks so my front already rides a little higher than stock. I am gonna try the white letter's out just for something different. I got the K02's in this size for $339 a shot. Can I ask what you gave for your Nittos?

Gen 2 OE rear shocks on gen 1

Yep those are the gen 1 coils and they don't really rub so much as make contact at full droop. Its not a binding, just a resting of the uca on the spring. The gen 2s are not even close to fitting correctly due to increased center bulge in the barrel. I did the passenger strut last night to...

Gen 2 OE rear shocks on gen 1

I got the driver side on last night. Took about 3 hours. I think I can do the other one quicker because I have a game plan now. For anyone who wants try it, I will attempt to detail the sequence of steps I took. Remove wheel, then steering linkage, then remove the retaining clips that hold the...

Gen 2 OE rear shocks on gen 1

Here we go again with this guy. A CV joint's life is 99.9% determined by its continuous operation angle. Which in this mod, is unchanged. All of the empirical evidence aside, the less than almost never-percent of time my truck is in 4x4 at high speed where the wheels are off the ground, the...

Gen 2 OE rear shocks on gen 1

The springs I'm comfortable changing. When I've been servicing the old set I haven't had to disconnect the axles I think that will give me the extra droop I will need for the additional length.

Gen 2 OE rear shocks on gen 1

I am doing the fronts this weekend hopefully. My concern is stuffing it in there with just one set of hands. Anyone have a good tactic for doing it solo?

Gen 2 OE rear shocks on gen 1

Forum cancer. Every thread, any subject. Someone; asks a question about how to do something. Useless idiot ; "have you ever considered doing nothing at all?" or guy with zero credentials; "AKTCHUALLY, this will never work" I left the boot un-modded even though it rubs on the mounting point. Its...

Gen 2 OE rear shocks on gen 1

Mounted the rears successfully. Went on without a hiccup. To the guy who had to grind; I don't know why that was necessary. I can't see ever replacing the rears with the 2.5 ever again. Did it with minimal tools and one jack. Mounted the axle side first and the muscled the shock down to length...

Gen 2 OE rear shocks on gen 1

Thanks to everyone that replied, looking forward to my upgrade. Got my full set for $650. The gen 2 tech was enhanced from gen 1. New base valve piston, 9 dampening zones for better highway manners, with the final zone acting as a hydraulic bump stop. Also the 3" body. Other than that the...

Gen 2 OE rear shocks on gen 1

I read a lot of promises/guarantees saying there would be people posting all of the catastrophic failures associated with this mod. So, either the know-it-all's were full of shit, or modders are too proud to admit failure. I'd really like to know how its going with the people that made this...
