    Decent Hotel for Raptor Assault?

Comfort inn. It was clean, two Queen beds and a decent breakfast bar, hot and cold. Price was good and not far from the Assault facility.

    Likelihood of Gen 3 SCAB?

I’ve got a 19’ SCAB and absolutely love it. It’s just my wife and I so I don’t need all the room in a SCREW. My personal opinion is a SCAB looks better because it is shorter and looks more like a Trophy truck than a SCREW. Positives: shorter wheelbase makes it easy to park, fits in my garage...

GEN 2 List your camper/travel trailer info

No regrets. Overall the trailer meets all of my and wife’s needs. It’s just my wife, me and our 10# dog. I changed the stock RV queen mattress for a regular queen. At 6’8” 305lbs, RV mattresses suck. The bathroom is ok. Tight in the shower. I love the outdoor galley. Great trailer, I’m sure you...

GEN 2 List your camper/travel trailer info

2016 Coachman Freedom Lite 231RBDS. The numbers in my first response was off a little as I was doing it from memory. It’s a great trailer. I like the 81” ceilings as I am 80” tall. My only bitch about pulling with my SCAB is the fuel tank is only 26 gallons versus the 36 gallon tank in SCREWS.

GEN 2 List your camper/travel trailer info

I have a 2019 SCAB. I pull a 26’ Coachmen with 1 slide out. Dry weight: #4850 Tongue weight: #490 Loaded weight #5900 WDH The truck is awesome at pulling the trailer. I’ve had pull trailers for the last 40 years and this is the best tow vehicle I have ever had for this size of trailer. The...

GEN 2 UGH, had to do it

Congrats on your new SCAB! You will love it. I have the same truck and I’ve got a little over 15,000 miles. No issues so far. Absolutely love driving it every day. I almost never see any new Scabs in my area, only Screws. The only complaint, if you want to call it a complaint, is the 26 gallon...

    Break-in oil Change

I was down 1/2 quart at 3000 miles. Topped to off and at 5000 miles the level hadn’t gone down at all. Changed at 5000 and every 5000 since with full synthetic. I check every 1000 miles and it hasn’t used any since the 3000 mile add. I highly recommend every 5000 miles with full synthetic...

    RAPTOR ASSAULT INSURANCE?

I went last year and loved it. I checked with my insurance agent, Allstate, and he confirmed my policy covered me as long as “it’s not a race on a professional race track” Thus, I didn’t get it. I’m retired and $90 is still better in my pocket than someone else’s. Bottom line is do whatever...

    Finally got the Raptor

Congratulations and welcome to the forum. SCABS are very hard to find. Back in 18’ the dealers I was using to find mine said the production of SCABS to SCREWS was 1 to 20 and most SCABS were the low end packages ie 800A versus 802A. I had 5 dealers searching for what I wanted and they all wanted...
