I wanted to update every one on my experience with Cobb. Obviously Sam saw my post last Saturday and went ahead and took time to respond. I gave them a Call on Monday, they walked me through everything and I sent in my log, turns out here in Oklahoma we think 100% (non ethanol) gas is the best...
@Sam@COBB, Thanks for reaching out. I will try and get that datalog to you today. I'm certainly not saying there's anything wrong with the tuner, I think this truck has always been just a bit off.
I'm, giving them a call tomorrow. I should have datalogged it but I did not. @JohnyPython, Do you have a cobb tuner? Which map are you running? what boost pressures have you seen?
Yeah, the first thing was update it. I can hear just slight ping under mid throttle with the 87/91 stage 1. I've bought gas from 2 different places, 100% 91 octane. Not sure wtf is going on with this thing. I put it back to stock for now. I am still curious what anyone else has been seeing as...
Ok, changed plugs and gas. It actually runs better than ever! Very smooth pulls. How much boost are you guys seeing out of stage 1 91 octane tune? My display showed 24.98 which seems pretty high to me.
Just installed the Stage 1 91 performance tune on my 17, noticed some pinging under light/mid throttle. Anyone else have anything like this happen? Should I be worried? Just picked up some SP-542 plugs and plan on changing tonight.
Got it changed back. Much better now. I've listened to All of the aftermarket exhausts. I hate them. To be fair I hate the stock exhaust. I miss my 6.2.
I found it here's the link. https://www.motorcraftservice.com/AsBuilt
It shows my original value was a "2" I guess I will see. I might even back it up this time.
At first I liked the sound, now.... I freaking hate it. Makes me feel like I'm in a Honda. I rode in my buddies raptor the other day and even though it's fake I kinda liked it.
I was thinking it was a "1" as well. Thanks for all the help guys!
Hey, of course I want to make it faster. Thanks for the help. I have that page, it shows what to change the value to "0" in this case. I can't remember what was there originally. I want to turn it back on.
