Grab a roll of vinyl pinstriping in the color of your choice and try it. Leave it on for a week, take it off if you hate it. Never know until you give it a go. The vinyl is completely reversible and easy to redo. I probably would not do it myself, but would like to see what it looks like?
Cerakote Ceramic Trim Kit - Amazon or Walmart. You will be amazed with the results, makes the trim look OEM new. Super easy to apply and should last a year/two. All my trim went from slightly chalky to nice fresh black. Dries to touch so no streaks after getting wet like the other solutions...
I bought my truck used and the rear window was replaced previously by someone that was terrible at their job. It was not installed in the right location and leaked. I had it replaced with a new back window by a local auto glass replacement company that was incredible. I got their contact...
I just replaced my battery with an OEM Motorcraft, got it from RockAuto, best price I found online. Only issue was the battery they sent me was manufactured in 10/2021 which I thought was a little old for a "new" purchase. Also, found out they do not have customer support you can contact, only...
Castrol Super Clean (Full Strength) and/or Westley's Bleach White then switch to a water based tire dressing. Water based tire dressing typically does not last as long but also makes cleaning the tires much easier in the future.
I'm curious why you want to replace it to? If it's because of the flap sticking up in the front...I had the same and tucked it back under itself. Looks better.
@GooseTuned Does uninstalling the Accessport also remove the TCM tune or is that a separate step? I also need to get the PCM update at the dealer for the phasers and have the Goosetuned with the COBB TCM.
Update -
3M Satin Dark Grey - Shade lighter, slight more of a blueish tint, and could be a bit glossier. Most of my paint is ceramic coated so the my painted sections might be a bit glosser than normal because of that leading to the difference. Not close enough for me. Need something a little...
I have looked into that and can't seem to find any used ones in good shape for that price. Most are already damaged (more then my existing). My existing one is not really damaged/dented/gouged just the paint is flaking of because of a poor dealer spot paint touch up when I bought the truck...
I need to replace my backup camera module OEM Part # HL3V-19G490-AA but can't find any reasonable replacements with the same part number? Lens is scratched because tailgate dropped against concrete wall in parking garage. Closest thing I can fine is for part # FL3Z-19G490-B and FL3Z-19G490-C ...
3M Satin Dark Grey is a close match. It has a bit of a blue'ish tint to it compared to the factory color which is nothing but grey but is very close. The 3M Matte Dark Grey is a little to dull compared to the factory paint. It's almost like the factory finish is right in between Matte & Satin...
Brent from Rocky Mountain Graphics gave me a recommendation to try (below). I ordered a small roll to see how close it is. If there are any other recommendations let me know.
The best match for the fender flares and bumpers is the 2080 Matte Dark Grey by 3M
Thanks,
Brent
I know this may not be too popular but has anyone found an exact or close match to the factory gunmetal grey color for the bumpers/fender flares in a vinyl wrap? Looking for a brand/color recommendation. Finish will have to be a metallic and I think satin (maybe) as the trim does not seem as...
Damn...glad you are OK. The pictures are so painful to look at I feel like I was in the accident with you. If they do fix it make sure to submit a diminished value claim with the insurance company as they typically don't bring it up until you ask for it. In any case I would dump it as soon as it...
My padding was completely soaked (like a sponge) and it dried out nicely. Use a shop vacuum to suck up as much of the water as you can first. I tried a dehumidifier but that didn't seem to help much. Pulling back the carpet/pad and getting as many fans on it as possible for air flow dried it...
How bad is it? I had a similar leak from my back window and carpet was soaked through in the drivers back and drivers front. I removed the drivers seat pulled back the carpet/pad and placed fans on it for a few days in the garage. It all dried out nicely. Followed up with a good deep cleaning...
I also have the periodic 4-3 downshift that sounds and feels like the rear differential just grenaded. Like old school bad u-joints type hammering because of slack in the driveline. I have had the trans re-flashed by the dealer and it seems to help for a period of time then returns. So annoying...
